VISUAL ATTRACTIVENESS: 💗💗💗💗(purely aesthetic appreciation of looks)

Vatrra gets that Sipara has an #aesthetic and she’s pretty into it. She likes the weird bug-gauntlet, she likes the abundance of rust colors in her outfits, she likes Sipara’s filed teeth. Good looks for a lowblood, even if Vatrra herself is not fashion-oriented.

This is actually pretty good for Vatrra hardly knowing her? She likes Sipara, which is why this gets one heart. She likes that Sipara is unapologetic and seemingly unafraid, there’s no ‘meek lowblood’ bullshit.

Riccin may be an acolyte, but Ennkoh knows when paint is well-done and she likes Riccin’s general style. She would probably love to see Riccin’s outfit choices because Riccin does ‘showing skin without accidentally looking oversexualized’ very well and Ennkoh really likes that sort of thing. She’d be side-eyeing how much indigo Riccin wears though.

Ennkoh will count one heart because she doesn’t really dislike Riccin, but she’s not gonna be buddy-buddy OR platonic enemies with another mirthful right off the bat. She’ll play it safe and see how it goes.

Not really an active interest, but Ennkoh thinks they’re attractive and in the right situation wouldn’t be opposed. It’s one of those “eh if we were going purely off of looks then yeah, but there’s too many other factors” situations.

It ain't like you to ever worry something as inappropriate.

But kissing an indigo, as it turns out, is one of them.

Ennkoh isn't some paintless wreck. She isn't some flavour of heretic, or mutie, or filth: nah, girl is everything that a clown should be, ear tip to toe point, and it's obvious in everything from the swoop of her paint to the fine lines around her eyes. Give her a hundred sweeps, and she'll have the Grand Highbloods' head at her feet and his horns on her mantle, but that's in the future: you take her in right now, weak ass sketch of what she's gonna be, all lines and no shading, and Ennkoh's still the goddamn epitome.

That's what had made it funny, when you tugged her under the vine. "A joke," you'd signed, fingers twisting to match the curve of your mouth. "You'll see when we get there, girl."

But now you're here, and she's looking up at the plant, and your cheeks are flooding straight through your paint. Heat in your cheeks, in your ears, in the soft skin under your eyes, treacherous and foreign as the embarrassment in your veins. What are you doing? The fuck are you thinking? She's nearly of a height with you: you can't even look up and away, because she's tall enough to look you in the face.

Who needs voodoos, when a look pins you just as well?

"I -" You'd planned on kissing her on the lips. Shit's disrespectful, though, and now that you're here, the idea chafes. You've got a hand on her shoulder, and it was meant to be sly, deft, but it just feels awkward instead.

Everything about this shits going awry. When you  plant a kiss on her cheek instead, you can't even be sour. Shit is sweet as sugar, and chaste as the pink moon, and - yeah, nah, turns out that thought doesn't help your flush any.

RICCIN:

Ennkoh’s size makes them genuinely happy, even if it’s an aggravated sort of happiness: Riccin doesn’t do well with people near their height, but she’s a clown and an indigo and someone who functionally treats them as a peer, so it’s just another thing that puts Ennkoh on their level.

SIPARA:

Vatrra’s bluntness! Sipara thinks it’s amazing and delightful when she’s not catching the hard edge of it, and if she ever sees Vatrra speaking with someone else (especially a blueblood who isn’t Jerath), Sipara may legitimately squeal (and then clamp both hands over her mouth, and then proceed to be aggressively over-affectionate and delighted at Vatrra for the rest of the visit).

Riccin does not need or deserve encouragement of their terrible romantic obsession, but they would take it. With the greatest enthusiasm. Who wants a six page, carefully written serenade on all the reasons why this relationship is/could be GREAT and this person is pathetic/infuriating?? Because they’re getting it.
