"God's anger" 👀
Below is the transcript from the video by Richard Wolfe. I do not agree with some of his views, but this part of the video hit me in my chest chilleeee like a 40 inch sword 🗡️🥵👇🏾
"American's don't understand what terrible war is. They just don't. They've never suffered from being on the losing end of a major war fought on their own territory. The Chinese have, the Japanese have, the Russians have, the Europeans have and I could go on, but we haven't. In WW2, bombs fell in Hawaii at Pearl Harbour and never again. No American city has ever gone through that. The only time I ever went to a bomb shelter was when I was a student in my public school here in the United States, and they taught us how to get under our desks in case there was a bomb, which none of us understood and thought it was a funny game. And when American's talk about war, there's a bravado, that sounds like a bad cowboy movie, in which you see a shooting and when it's over everyone gets up and has a cup of coffee or beer. It's not a real trauma, that settles into the consciousness."
Of course some American's understand some of the perils of war and those are the brave warriors who protect that nation in times of overseas wars, but even then have never experienced war at home on their turf... on their soil.
Having heard these words by Richard Wolfe, has deeply and profoundly humbled me today and makes me appreciate God so much. And, as I stated in my recording, this is one of the reasons why the West cannot seem to empathize with Israel. They don't understand what it's like when your enemy lives next door and the only thing that will satisfy them is your blood and complete obliteration from this earth entirely. They just don't get it.
The soldiers who fought in the past World Wars are almost long gone and so too, are the memories, the trauma, and lived experiences of those times. I pray God does not send us a reminder of what those times were like by making us experience it like we did COVID.
Pray with me.
Howling Wolfe
It's kinda awesome when you reach a conclusion about what underlies what Israel is doing in Gaza (namely racism, a fundamental building block of countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, etc) with an esteemed scholar like Richard Wolfe.

Watch “Economic Update: Human Rights v. US Water Economics” on YouTube I love this program. Dr. Wolfe is one of my heros! I'm sharing this particular episode because of a portion near the end of the video where he shares a story about homelessness in New York City and how it affects literally hundreds of thousands of NYC school children, devastating their ability to graduate and then ultimately getting blamed for being poor as adults.
