BIG BOSS (# 21, Arédit, 1975)
Second serie of BIG BOSS - 59 issues between June 1970 & February 1983. Format 130 x 180 - 132 pages
“Big Boss” - 2nd serie consisted only in reeditions of “Big Boy/Big Boss”, “Aventures Fiction” & “Sideral” (50′s/early 60′s) contents. Very interesting because easier to find than the originals. Really great stuff ! Here in, you could read stories of “Adam Strange”, “Space Ranger Rick Starr”, “Space Cabbie”, as well as stories out of “Detective Comics”, “My Greatest Adventure”, “House of Mystery”, House of Secrets”, “Mystery in Space”, “Showcase”, “Strange Adventures” or “Tales of the Unexpected”.
Worthwile, isn’t it ?

Rick Starr is the Space Ranger!
Here's another of DC Comics Silver Age SCI-F heroes - Space Ranger.
Rick Starr was secretly Space Ranger an interplanetary hero in the 22nd Century. He was aided by his gal Friday Myra and Cyril the alien metamorph.
Publisher: DC Comics
1st Appearance: Showcase #15 - 07/1958
Created by: Gardner Fox & Bob Brown
Actors: Mark Goddard as Space Ranger, Cyrll and Marta Kristen as Myra Mason
Creating an illustration of Space Ranger brought back childhood memories of reading the comic. While trying to "cast" the characters with actors from the 1960s I immediately thought of another space pilot - Don West from Lost in Space. I could easily see Don Goddard play Rick Starr.
It wasn't too far a leap to pick Marta Kristen (aka Judy Robinson) as Myra Mason, Starr's gal Friday.
I considered basing Cryll on a monkey (a la the Debbie the Bloop) but he seems much more Porcine to me. I realized my illustration of him is a little goofy.
The Space Ranger! (as seen in Threshold #1)
This picture must be why he's Stealth refers to him as "the punch line to more jokes than I care to recall."
Part 11 of an at least 52 part series of Who’s Who entries of New 52 characters (but probably a whole lot more what with cancellations and all).
PERSONAL DATA Alter Ego: Rick Starr Occupation: Business Executive [I was going to guess "Aerobics Instructor."] Marital Status: Single [I'm fairly certain he's dating that ball shaped alien with the penis pump on its face.] Known Relatives: Thaddeus Starr (father) Group Affiliation: None [Nobody would join his club. So he dropped the "s" on Rangers and added the "the".] Base of Operations: New York City and an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter, circa 22nd Century First Appearance: SHOWCASE #15 Height: 6'2" Weight: 194 lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Black
