I think we can all agree that, after a wildly successful Flesh Curtains concert, Rick, Squanchy and Birdperson got invited to a party, Rick got a little too drunk, and Birdperson realized that the mating season has been unsuccessful, so the two let themselves get carried away for the night. And in the morning, Rick was so self assured that he and Birdperson were together, but Birdperson clarified that it was just the nature of mating season, and they both moved on, grew apart, and tried never to think about that again.
