I work at a gas station, and every once in a while, an old customer will show up who I haven't seen in months or years. A customer just walked in, telling me that he's been away. I asked where. He said fishing trip and laughed. I assume he got out of jail, but he wouldn't say. I don't know why he went to jail, but I hate being nice and respectful to people who don't deserve it. There's a customer who's been coming here for years who's a registered sex offender. He has major health issues and can barely walk. He's always been nice and pleasant to everyone at the station, but I know something about him that makes me want to punch him in the face. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's weird being nice and respectful to people who have hurt others. I don't know how to treat people like that.

Given the choice, I think I'd rather hold a cute puppy than a cute baby.

Haha thank you! I try to keep things in perspective, but it's hard. Getting in was so unexpected- it's surreal.
