HELLOO HI HEEY👋🏼😄 You can call me Rosa!! I’m Amazigh, Queer 🏳️‍🌈, any pronouns are fine but mainly she/her/hers, 29yo (MDNI!!), Pisces⁴, INFP(9w1), AuDHD, etc. I'm studying to get my PhD in Palaeontology (Comp. Anatomy & Functional Morphology) and I currently have a BA & a MSc 🤗. But I’m currently working as an HVACR Tech for Commercial/Residential Electrical Technician/Maintenance thru a few hotels in my region.

The Riffians are an Amazigh ethnic group who inhabit the Rif in northern Morocco. In addition to Riffian, many speak Moroccan Arabic, Spanish or French as second or third languages.

There's many arguments on the indigenous north african status of Morocco right now.

As a mixed Siwi, I'm very grateful to my Moroccan brothers and sisters right now, because the support I have been given for using my voice to speak about Egyptian Imazighen and our shared erasure has been amplified and validated by them.

Sadly, this support wasn't shared by a lot of Arabs and I've been exposed to erasure of my Siwi heritage and the Siwa Oasis as a whole, or instead called derogatory terms and insults.

However, this is a positivity post, specifically to the Moroccan Imazighen who've accepted me into our small community and that together, we will continue the fight for our people and our land and our cultures.

We are indigenous and we are proud.

We are valid and we are strong.

I trust Morocco to bring the world cup home to our people and to Africa 🫶🏽

And even if they don't, they've shown the world the excellence of Africa.

Languages

Spanish is the only official language of the region, but Arabic, Hebrew, and Riffian are also spoken. Riffian, also known as Tarifit, is an Amazigh language spoken in the Rif region of northern Morocco.

There are no UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Melilla. Notable landmarks include the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Central Mosque of Melilla, the Golden Triangle, and the Or Zaruah Synagogue.
