Siwi Amazigh girl, Egypt, by Eric Martin
hey!
so as all imazighen know, finding sources about our people, made by our people is hard.
I'm lucky enough to have found a tiktok creator who has made a resource specifically on Amazigh Tattooing, and she is descended from the Azamura tribal group in Libya.
The Amazigh Tattooing source is linked here.
Her TikTok user is abrarduhh.
Please reblog the resource for other Imazighen, and for allies of us who wish to learn more about us and our heritage!

Victoria was appointed as an advocate of the UN Sustainable Development Goals by Ban-Ki Moon in 2016, specialising in water related issues
Linguistic diversity challenge: languages of Africa
Siwi (5/7)
What is the language called in English and the language itself?
It is called Siwi, Siwan and Siwa Amazigh in English. The language itself is known as Jlan n isiwan.
Where is the language spoken?
Siwi is spoken near Egypt’s border with Libya.
How many people speak the language?
According to Ethnologue, there are 20,000 speakers as of 2013.
Which language family does it belong to? What are some of its relative languages?
It is a Amazigh language of the Afro-Asiatic family. Its closest relatives are Nafusi and Sokna.
What writing system does the language use?
Siwi is not a written language, as Siwi people usually write using the Arabic script.
What kind of grammatical features does the language have?
The language’s basic word order is SVO. Prepositions and numerals precede the noun, while other modifiers follow the noun. Unlike most Amazigh languages, Siwi has no state distinction, i.e., a noun has the same form whether it is the subject or the object, or special verbal morphology for negation.
What does the language sound like?
Siwi has 38 consonants and 6 vowels. You can hear about Siwa and Siwi traditions in Siwi here.
What do you personally find interesting about the language?
I’ve always been fascinated by Egypt and I find it interesting that Siwi is the only Amazigh language indigenous to this country. I also has some unusual features that make it different from other Amazigh languages.

they responded to a comment where I said don't call us b*rbers, with this.
And no, they're not egyptian, they have the iraq and jordan flags in their bio.
plus most egyptians ive interacted with, in my experience, have been (mixed or fully) Copts or Nubians.
dni with this if you aren't North African, especially Egyptian, and/or amazigh pls.
