hi, asking this because its probably slightly more likely youll see this in the future. how can one reach the major idk anything about this blog but i saw they use romulan language titles and id really like to talk to anyone at all about the romulan language.

The Major has left Tumblr altogether, however, we both do this and I can link you the resources we used. Going to post publicly for anyone curious about either Romulan or Vulcan. Klingon has some awesome books as well, but I recommend checking out related Tumblr blogs as they will know more on that.

The main website is rihannsu.org, both as it currently is and as it was via the wayback machine, it used to be a bit more comprehensive. You can find a few similar websites using archive.org as well.

The scene we needed in The Undiscovered Country: as the plotters are being arrested by Kirk and his group, Empress Ael of the Romulan Star Empire drags him away demanding an explanation on what happened and, most importantly, why did it take him so long, because back in the day they were mortal enemies and he's making her look bad.

And then liutenant M'ress calming her down by pointing out that humans get old faster than Romulans just to get Kirk trolled by the OG Furry (who, as a woman on the Enterprise, had been likely waiting for years for a chance to get back at Kirk).

All the while, Chancellor Azetbur finally realizes that the reports about Kirk and the Enterprise's crew being so insane it cycled back to sanity were actually downplaying things.

I read chapter 14 of "My Enemy, My Ally" by Diane Duane today.

SPOILERS FOR THAT BY THE WAY

in this chapter, Scotty's in command while the core three are on the ground with their Romulan co-conspirators. and some of the Romulans on ship betray the mission. Scotty really flexes his command muscles in this. it's pretty cool.

i love when media looks at a character and asks "who are they when they don't have their main thing?", and in this case we see when Scotty isn't able to be chief engineer (which i think is everything he's ever wanted to be), Scotty is a great commander.

he is determined to make sure the mission follows through, he's able to sniff out what's going on pretty well, and he's able to step back and separate from his impulses to get a feel for the situation. it's a very cool look into Scotty and as a character he really shines here.

and i also like how there's a sympathetic Romulan character on the bridge when the betrayal goes down. it gives us a different window into the protagonists' side of the situation. i really felt for Khiy when Tafv betrayed the mission. he's probably gonna be in the following five chapters, but i hope to see more of him in the Rihannsu series of trek novels.
