Who’s the messiest one:Neither of them are particularly messy, but Riko does leave her sheet music scattered about sometimes when trying to compose.

Who feels the most uncomfortable about PDA:Maki! She’s really socially awkward, and her face turns as bright as a tomato with physical contact! Riko isn’t exactly flashy or outgoing, but she would like to give Maki a peck on the cheek every now and then

Who’s the funniest drunk:Maki makes the most amazing pouty face when she’s drunk

Who texts the most:Riko! She’s surprisingly sappy, so she loves to send Maki positive messages or just tell her how much she adores her, lest she forget~

Who has the most embarrassing taste in music:Riko and Maki LOVE listening to classical music together, no matter how “boring” everyone else says it is

Who reads the most:Riko has her stash of doujinshi…

Who’s better with kids:Actually, Riko! She’s a bit of a helicopter mom but only because she’s so caring! She really looks out for everyone, and she can tell when a kid is in a slump and needs a motivational push.

Who’s the one that fixes things around the house:Maki! She usually has to look up how to fix most things, but she can follow instructions really well. Riko swears she has photographic memory or something.

Who’s got the weirdest hobby:RIKO AND HER YURI

Who cooks and who cleans up:Maki CANNOT cook. She’s never needed to cook. Thus, Riko is usually the one trying to throw a meal together for them. Maki does clean up afterwards, though, because she’s too proud (and stubborn) to let her girlfriend do all the work.

Your thoughts on RikoMaki?

While I don’t ship them romantically, I enjoy seeing mentor-pupil relationship between the two a lot DX

I especially like Ooshima Tomo’s doujinshi’s portrayal of their relationship; Riko was still a 1st year in Otonokizaka, and she’s stumbled upon music sheets left behind by Nishikino Maki. She was in a horrible state, unable to find character in her own drawings, and she even thought of abandoning the piano altogether. By playing and singing ‘Start:Dash’, she’s able to regain her confidence and retrieve the joy music. And so, when it was time to move to Uchiura, she asked her mother if they could bring the piano there too.

I also like AUs where Maki and Riko hang out whenever they have time, having bonded over their mutual love of music and piano; Maki, a doctor now, is envious of Riko being able to pursue her passion as a pianist/violist, while Riko is envious of Maki being so talented; even then, they support each other full-heartedly and are kindred spirits who understand each other without having to converse much.
