more prompts yay! The idea that Yoshiko actually used to be a angel makes for a good story(its pretty believable also have you seen her of course she's an angel!). Au's tend to be easier in my opinion to write cause it gives more creative leverage. Not to say the normal stuff is bad of course, Au's are just my preference.
Thanks Anon! Yes, I totally agree, Yoshiko is an actual angel, such a good girl, truly yoshiko よしこ DX
And yes, I agree AUs are easier to write since it gives you more freedom, you get more freedom with it, though you do have to put effort in the background works to make the AU believable. Hence, I’d trail back to canon-verse so my brain/writing muse’s HP doesn’t enter the red zone XD
Your thoughts on RikoMaki?
While I don’t ship them romantically, I enjoy seeing mentor-pupil relationship between the two a lot DX
I especially like Ooshima Tomo’s doujinshi’s portrayal of their relationship; Riko was still a 1st year in Otonokizaka, and she’s stumbled upon music sheets left behind by Nishikino Maki. She was in a horrible state, unable to find character in her own drawings, and she even thought of abandoning the piano altogether. By playing and singing ‘Start:Dash’, she’s able to regain her confidence and retrieve the joy music. And so, when it was time to move to Uchiura, she asked her mother if they could bring the piano there too.
I also like AUs where Maki and Riko hang out whenever they have time, having bonded over their mutual love of music and piano; Maki, a doctor now, is envious of Riko being able to pursue her passion as a pianist/violist, while Riko is envious of Maki being so talented; even then, they support each other full-heartedly and are kindred spirits who understand each other without having to converse much.
i always love the pvp series glams but i fucking hate how painful frontlines can feel doing more than 1 a day
TWO bad endings
i genuinely had no idea that persian talismans often depict a person on a beast of burden with writing all over it/otherwise are made up of drawings filled entirely with writing when I had that dream that took place thousands of years ago about a king’s wise-woman/seer being banished to a desert with a horse tattooed all over its body in writing exactly the way those talismans look (and these tattoos held significant meaning and power as omens/warnings/curses which was the custom for banishment, which I imagine is exactly a possible purpose of a talisman) after the king was angered because she saw a vision that his kingdom would be destroyed in flames, and then in the desert meeting a woman who was a proto-zoroastrian priestess with the power to control fire, and them going back to the kingdom together to set it on fire in retaliation for getting banished, thus making the vision come true. every part of the dream was so incredibly vivid and detailed including the tattoos of writing all over her horse and the script was not modern persian either it was some script I did not recognize (as in could not read) but felt familiar and ancient, and it was very clear to me this was taking place in persia but like in a time so long ago that itd be lost to the annals history now if it had ever happened
