“That depends. Are you trying to hit on me?”

“Did you not see the anon before the cat thing??”

Bold of you to assume he’s smart enough to notice anything other than the cat ears.

It was another hot day on the islands. How surprising. The more Riku considered it, the more he realized how much he would prefer the city life. With his affinity for longer hair (which more than once he was forced to give up due to the heat) that simply didn’t look as good in a ponytail, his skin that turned extra crispy faster than bacon on a fryer under the terrible sunlight, the lack of anything to do at any time of the day or year, the same people, same places, same trees and plants and flowers and... Islander life had run its course years ago.
The silverette currently sat under a large table umbrella with a smoothie in hand and his gorgeous hair (meant for flying in the wind like silk--not for being trapped!) braided tight over a shoulder to keep it off his neck. He was already aglow with perspiration. Riku had tried every flavor at this, the only smoothie bar, at least twenty times over just that month. The place had been there for something like ten years and not once had the shop thought to, say, do something different with their menu. Like add other items. Seasalt was good, but it was also easy to get sick of. And unfortunately Destiny Islands was so small it offered virtually nothing in way of restaurants or interesting stores besides.
Always small. Always the same. Always boring. Always frustrating in how small, same, and boring it was. And the size of it and lack of places to visit brought on an even bigger issue:
A job. He couldn’t find one. They never hired because they were all family run. His parents had money, plenty of it, and let Riku run wild with one of their credit cards, but he doubt they’d take kindly to using it to escape to another town. Being twenty also meant he felt a good deal of shame for still using their money rather than his own, but being in college in a tiny town full of nothing on a teeny-weeny loan didn’t leave one with many options.
My kingdom for a hot tourist or something... Argh, it’s not even tourist season! Where is a hot guy when you need to blow off some steam?!
riku-stonebriar replied to your post: “I… don’t feel so good, today.” Ventus curled up...
“Poor, Venny…”
“Don’t call me that. It’s just Ven.” He pulled his pillow under the blankets with him and squished it over his head.
☆ “...”
“Noooo...”
"Aren't you that one guy Leon sometimes has angry fits about?" Riku asked from several feet below as his tail swished lazily back and forth.
“Ah, huh,” Laguna seemed a little confused at the question.
“Does he really have angry fits about me? I had no idea….”

“Look, there’ll be no suffocating here,” Sora said, shaking his head. “We’ll just sit, cuddle, and enjoy a good movie, okay?”
