Chapter 19 - The Beginning

Riley curled Tikah’s dark hair around her fingers. It was like a river of satin that tickled their fingertips and cheek, and, though Riley feared the water for its strange call and capricious ways, she thought she wouldn’t mind drowning, if it was Tikah’s lips that stole her breath. 

They buried their face in Tikah’s hair, breathing in the smell of herbs and citrus. And when Tikah’s arms curled around them- warm and soft and yet as anchoring as the feeling of the earth on one’s bare feet, there was nowhere else they’d rather be. 

They placed their hand on the small of Tikah’s back, the other still entwined in her hair, and pulled her closer. Tikah leaned down into Riley and placed a kiss on their lips- none of her usuals nervous flutter present in that soft insistence. 

They were at ease with each other, there in the small space of the bed they shared.

While it's not the best representation of Rilah in my head I really saw the space for improvement for this image and quickly fixed it : ) She looks more natural and soft now.

www.patreon.com/sythgara I'm excited to say I finally got a patreon account sorted out. You will still be able to see my finished work as usual (with slight delay), but the perks will include WIPS, sketches and full size images, progress videos and hopefully even more fun stuff. Current perks are pretty straight forward but I am open to hearing any suggestions and opinions. One of the things I would love to start doing is custom made bookmarks with characters and themes from my headworld. Something I can do by hand and ship out. With it I hope to gain more time and opportunities to do personal work, continue projects that are otherwise pushed to the bottom of the list and engage with people to try new things.
