I’m am so excited to share this quilt with you. It’s my Glacier Park quilt and it is in the May/June issue of Love of Quilting magazine. The magazine should be in stores any day now. The fabric is from Riley Blake’s National Park collection. You can substitute many different national parks in that center panel. I just love the national parks and this was a fun quilt to make. Twilight Creatures · Riley Blake Designs

Let me introduce you to my new fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs: Twilight Creatures. It’ll be available from November 2024, and it includes 6 different fabric designs in 3 colourways each, as well as a panel with lots of creative possibilities.

Twilight Creatures takes us to the depths of a profound forest, and it’s inspired by the creatures that wake as the sun sets. You’ll find owls, racoons and deer, depicted amidst an abundance of trees, foliage and stars.

Nature meets magical in the main fabric, Twilight Creatures. Available in storm, mint and indigo, it brings together all the elements that inspire the collection.

Wild Fawns has to be my favourite coordinate. The warm tones of the animal help it stand out against a frame-like background of cool toned, harmonic leaves. Available in Songbird, Ice and Blue.

The night sky appears magical in this owl design, available in Indigo, Mint and Storm.

A variety of smaller scale prints, such as Happy Acorns, will work wonders to offer contrast against the main pattern. Scenery and Raccoons are both great two tone options as well.

Possibilities are endless when it comes to combining the cool tones of this collection. From a soft palette of silvery grays made playful with mint fabrics, to a higher contrast option of bringing indigo and ice together. The choice is yours!

Alongside the 6 pattern designs, there'll be a panel available, featuring a central composition and a frame of small squares, which can either be used separately or together as the central piece of a big quilt.

I had a play with the squares and I have to say, they can make really cute blocks! Here's some ideas:

Lost at Sea · Riley Blake Designs

Today we’re presenting my new fabric collection for Riley Blake Designs: Lost at Sea. It’ll be available from May 2023, and it includes 7 different fabric designs in 3 colourways each as well as a panel design featuring 4 nautical inspired illustrations.

As you can see, it’s a nautical inspired collection designed with a playful and young approach. Across all designs, you’ll find anything and everything related to the sea: from whales, seagulls and crabs, to lighthouses, boats and anchors.

The main fabric design, Lost at Sea, is full to the brim with nautical imagery, designed with the cutest of styles. It’ll be available in navy, sea foam and arctic blue.

It’s accompanied by a playful variety of ocean-inspired prints: a two-tone whale pattern, smiley crabs, tiny boats and flying seagulls.

Finally, the smallest scale prints will work wonders to offer contrast and the beauty of simpler motifs.

Pairing the seven pattern designs, we’ll have a panel, featuring four 18 by 18 inch squares with bold backgrounds and ocean-inspired illustrations. I’ve made the cutest wall hangings with a couple of them:
