I finally finished this quilt top, about a million hand sewn hexagons. It’s about 40” x 40” and will become a quilt for Welcome Blanket, an organization that gives handmade blankets to immigrants to welcome them into the USA. I started it the day Trump got elected, but it took me this long because I had carpal tunnel syndrome and surgeries for it.

I wanted the colors to look like a bowl of jelly beans.

I just wanted to get it done. I was stitching fast when I noticed some words on the back of a hexie. It said spare row and suddenly I was full of doubt. I had to get the mother ship out and lay out the panels before I stitched another stitch. Once I had confirmed everything was right I got the last rows of panel 4 done. Daughter arrived for dinner and snapped some pictures so you could join in the excitement.

I am quite proud of this stitching line.

I wish they all looked this nice, but in the end they won't even be seen. I will just enjoy the pretty ones while I can.

Petz Show Club is a casual space to show Petz using a Discord bot to help track points for you. Folks who are new to showing and want to learn are welcome and treated kindly (we all know that everyone starts being new and it takes time to get the hang of posing!).

We started Conformation-- which is hexing Petz to meet the Standards presented on our brand new Wiki -- using the realistic and petzy breed files and here are some examples:
