#rin does headcanons

Actually, I do kind of like the idea that Nubbins played a part in Bubba developing an interest in masks. Mostly in that, as an older sibling, all of my younger siblings went through a phase of imitating my hobbies at one point, so I could easily see Bubba's mask hobby starting out as being his own way of mimicking the stuff Nubbins does with bones, but then finding he genuinely enjoyed masks and that branching out into being its own thing.

So because of how some artists on Tumblr sometimes draw him with his hair in his face, a part of me really wants to draw fanart of 2004 Riddler just doing mundane everyday things, but standing in such a way that his hair makes him look like Sadako.

They're nerding out over a book of riddles, which in my mind, was in a language Riddler doesn't know, but which Bookworm translated for him. I wanted to get their expressiveness at a level that's appropriate to their characters, since while Riddler tends to use very big expressions and a lot of movements, Bookworms expressions, even when he is blatantly nerding out, tend to be very strictly controlled, with his facial expressions sometimes coming off as almost muted at times, except in moments where he briefly flies into a rage.

And of course, since it's also autism acceptance month, I kind of wanted to draw some fanart of two of my favorite autistic headcanon characters interacting. I've loved the idea of them having a villainous friendship for awhile, which I think was further cemented by Riddler's mentioning Bookworm as one of the guys he never sees anymore during his lament in When is a Door? as well as that fanart I reblogged awhile back.

At one point I saw a comment on a YouTube video which implied that Bookworm would dislike the internet and audio books. While I could see the character having issues with audio books (likely because the readers wouldn't perform them the way he thought they should be read and/or because it didn't go at the speed he thought they should) I actually think Bookworm would love the internet, largely because it would give him greater access to more books that he might not have been able to get access to otherwise.

I also think he'd probably be the type to print out ebooks and bind them into physical ones, because the feel of the books as he's reading them definitely seems to be a thing for him in his episodes.

I didn't manage to get anything finished on Aromantic Visibility Day, and I had wanted to wait until I finished to post anything, but a few aromantic headcanons of mine:

Lydia Limpet from Batman 1966. I kind of like the idea of her as aromantic and Bookworm as asexual.

Also in my PGSM fanfictions, I tend to write PGSM Zoisite as asexual and demiromantic. I have a slight habit of reading Classic Anime and PGSM Mamoru as arospec as well, usually somewhere in the vicinity of gray or demi. And for that matter, let's have Classic Ami as gray/demiromantic as well.

Also! Arkhamverse Riddler, who I see as aroace. There was a fanfic series beginning with "After the Asylum" which portrayed the character as aroace, and I really liked it and how he was written there.

Sometimes I wonder if Rogue’s absorption of her target’s memories could be considered an example of “required secondary powers.” Just because she can copy the person’s powers doesn’t mean she knows how to use them, but by pulling some of their memories along with their powers, she effectively gets the “demo version” of whatever she needs to control them.

A few weeks ago I was watching My Hero Academia with my little sister, and when Aizawa brought Eri to the Christmas party and she kept getting the holidays wrong, my sister and I decided that this implies Aizawa got carried away upon realizing she didn’t know them, and taught her about all the holidays rather than just the one they were on right then.

Dead by Daylight Jamie Lloyd Build

So at one point I mentioned feeling like the old version of Object of Obsession feels more in line with Jamie Lloyd’s link to Michael rather than Laurie’s, since it reflects the uncontrolled nature of Jamie’s abilities, while Laurie’s link tended to be more periodic and situational. Since Shudder now has the first five Halloween movies (theatrical cut of Halloween II rather than the TV cut) I thought I might try my hand at a Jamie Lloyd build. So:

Jamie Lloyd:

Object of Obsession: Despite old Object being more in line with her link, I think new Object would fit reasonably well also if we assume she eventually got better control over it. There was some kind borderline telepathic connection between them, so I think it going both ways makes Object a good fit.

Repressed Alliance: Also representative of the link, since she is able to use it to her advantage in order to give the police information on Rachel’s friend’s whereabouts in Halloween 5. You could swap for Soul Guard if you want to imply she gains some of his healing factor through that link, though.

Empathy: She is one of few characters over the franchise who I can remember attempting to show empathy to Michael Fricking Myers, and after he killed her foster sister, too. So I feel like a DbD version of Jamie would be running around trying to heal everyone every chance she got.

Either Boon: Dark Theory or Adrenaline: She manages to outrun Michael in a car in Halloween 5, though she did use her environment to her advantage, so I would accept arguments for her to run Windows of Opportunity instead. I was thinking she should get a movement speed bonus as my first instinct though, because even if she used the trees, she did still outrun him for awhile before she got there. Sure, he was probably going easy on her because he wanted it to be by his own hand, but still. My debate between Dark Theory and Adrenaline is whether I should imply that it is somehow related to her emerging powers, or reflect the fact that she does this near-ish to the end of the movie.
