Shokugeki no soma- chapter 254 - Eirin focus realisation
I am totally hyped for the next chapter and seeing how all of this plays out! This chapter was pretty Tsukasa and rindou centric, which I found incredibly interesting, seeing how they get recruited. I can't shake the feeling that rindou kinda just jumped on the boat for tsukasas same, but that's not what I wanna talk about.
What I want to talk about is Rindou reacting to the whole "Eishi is like asami" kinda thing.
In the chapter, Rindou is seen encouraging Eishi at every step, giving him pep talks and after his course complimenting his meals. And when we are shown the panels of Eishi afterwards, he is genuinely happy for that, which just makes me like their dynamic even more.
But when Asami approaches them, she is kinda put off by his statement. The face she is showing is clearly a face of discomfort. She doesn't really like him at first impression and I can't imagine that really changing, which leads back to my point that she is propably only going along with all if this for tsukasas sake.
But more importantly, Asami said that Tsukasa is just like him. In an earlier chapter, Takumi confronts Rindou what she is afraid of. Mixing these together, a thought launched itself into my head.
What if the thing she is afraid of, is Tsukasa really becoming like Asami? Looking at the both of them, there are a few parralels, but I don't really think that they are that similar yet. What if she is afraid of him walking down that same path as him? I don't think she would like that very much.
