Moar E.G.OBLAST upon ye, this time featuring one character with both a LobCorp/Ruina and Limbus E.G.O 83. Ring-A-Ding and Jewel Ghoul x2.
I'll be putting my reasonings/design notes under a cut, because there's Lotsa Text™.
I hope you like it!
First up: Ring-A-Ding, with Lantern (Meat Lantern, E.G.O name shared with Faelantern).
I gave R-A-D Meat Lantern due to their shared association with hunger/Gluttony (R-A-D's official sin: "Gluttony can apply to much more than the size of a meal"), deception (ML's lure, R-A-D looking like a bell but splitting open into an angelic abomination), and dangerous plants (ML's lure looks like a flower with a glowing bulb, while the non-boss level most associated with R-A-D is The Mysterious Glasshouse, which is filled with carnivorous plants. Don't even get me STARTED on the "Irritating Plant Room"...). Paradise Lost could also fit with the shared theme of "transforming to reveal an angelic abomination", but Meat Lantern just generally fit better.
Meat Lantern doesn't have a "Ruina-style/Limbus super-move-style" E.G.O, and Ring-A-Ding is a fucking bell, so I basically had free reign lmao. Gave it a little fur boa 83. The Corrosion is meant to resemble Ring-A-Ding's third phase with an inverted pose to resemble ML's breaching form, no wings, breaching ML's teeth (with the gums colored after third-phase R-A-D's weird membrane), eyes in a place like a "hinge", and less arms that are inside its mouth. I've been corru-brained lately, so I ended up basing the Corrosion's eyes off of corru signature eyes like Tozik's jahsdkahds the colors already match
The text reads:
Awakening - Flicker, flicker... Feel free to behold my light all you like.
Corrosion - I see you right there. Come closer! Don't you see it? Isn't it beautiful? Aren't I beautiful?
Next up: Jewel Ghoul with Gold Rush (King of Greed).
Chose Gold Rush for JG's LobCorp/Ruina E.G.O because... I mean, c'mon. His Sin may be Lust, but the KoG's association with gold and opulence just pairs too well with a living gemstone.
The cape/gauntlet/Corrosion body texture was not manually drawn. Fuck that. That was me just using various textured brushes with black and red, and then copy-pasting them with various transformations applied lmao.
The idea of keeping the KoG's prison window on the body of the Corrosion and having JG's phase-two heart visible in it was inspired by a commenter on Reddit. They also mentioned making it resemble a fish, but I only saw that comment after I was nearly done... but I wanted to retain the JG's lack of limbs, replacing his hands with little mini-corrosions, so it ended up resembling a fish/eel anyway lmao.
The text reads:
Awakening: Shiny~! I'm downright gleamin'! Givin me everythin' I could ever want... all 'cept for you.
Corrosion: C'mere. I know exactly how you can make me the happiest little jewel in the whole wide world...
Lastly: Jewel Ghoul again, this time with Roseate Desire (Pink Shoes).
I picked it as his Limbus E.G.O primarily for one reason: Lust-affinity. JG's official Sin is listed as Lust ("Lust is a distraction most dangerous"). He's lust in the "horrendous sleazebag" sense, hedonistic and lecherous (what with the gem strippers in the background of his fight), and the Pink Shoes seem to have a theme of being controlled by one's desires as opposed to being the one properly controlling them. Fits...
...but then I had to figure out how to incorporate the shoes into the design, considering JG's complete lack of legs lmao. For his Awakening: Hat decoration + one dangling from his waist by a ribbon. For his Corrosion: The shoes dangle from an unseen area above him, ribbons replacing his little wispy blue tail(s, including his hands) and body. Wanted to play up more body horror for it. His Corrosion is literally empty inside, not properly filled by his mindless hedonism 83
