Hi! I know you reblog about Once Upon a Time things, and currently it's in Season 3, should I watch from season 1? Or can I skip to season 3 and I'd be alright in catching up with the story :o

Well, I love season 1 (I think the Pilot is still one of their best episodes EVER and one of the best Pilots I've ever seen), but if you want to start watching the episodes airing right now, I feel like 312 was a good "re-pilot"  and a nice place to start? There was a recap special that aired before that which should contain all the things you need to know to understand the episodes to come. I'm not sure if season 3A would be a good time to start, even though it had some fun episodes, because lots of it was about Rumple and Emma issues that were introduced in the first two seasons. I feel like it loses a lot if you're not aware of the previous issues.

Basically, starting with 312 shouldn't prove too difficult from a "following the plot" point of view, but I don't know if you would really care about these people you're watching if you hadn't gotten to know them previously?

Why did Mary shoot Sherlock?

okay okay let’s go

(there will be spoilers if that wasn’t already obvious)

Mary was some sort of undercover agent before she met John and settled down. Her past is full of secrets and she could easily be incarcerated or worse if these got out. Magnussen (we’re assuming he is the guy who sent Mary the wedding telegram as C.A.M.) knows all or most of these secrets, and has been using them to blackmail her. So she breaks into Magnussen’s private flat/office in an attempt to kill him (she can’t have the secrets getting out, ya know)…… Only to have Sherlock walk in on them. Whoa

OK so Mary can’t kill Magnussen now bc John and Sherlock are in the building and the blame would get laid on them

And she’s in love with John so clearly she isn’t going to kill him

So she fires a nonlethal shot at Sherlock to take all the blame off of him and John and makes her escape. yep. I don’t know if that clears things up, I’m kind of terrible at explaining things, so if you have any other questions feel free to ask :)
