part 1 of why it’s important to reread the books

So I’m rereading the Heroes of Olympus, obviously starting with The Lost Hero.

Drew Tanaka’s hair, despite what her countless fanarts and fanfics would tell you, is CURLY!! Her hair is described as RINGLETS in The Lost Hero, meaning her curls are pretty damn tight. I completely forgot her hair was described as curly since almost every single fanart of her gives her straight or slightly wavy hair. What happened that made people draw Drew with straight hair when it's described in the books as the opposite? It quite literally said her hair was ringlets. How did it get misinterpreted as pin straight? 😭
