I want to talk about Ray, Judy, and Marshal in my AU...so this post is about that! Some more backstory for each of them, more of their dynamic and such!

(If you need it...here is some context about them!)

Raymond comes from a wealthy family. He was adopted as a baby by Marlo, who was going through a big change in his life. Ray was the one that softened Marlo's rough heart, and therefore, he ended up being the type of parent that can be a bit overbearing. He is super proud of his son's forensic and managerial accounting majors. I think this is also why Raymond is kinda full of himself in my AU; he is one of the few people that has a healthy relationship with his parent and that helped him grow to be sure of himself and his abilities. The only downside of this is that, that pursue of greatness lead Ray to lack in the "socializing" department.

This is also why he and Orville are kinda perfect for each other (in my AU, at least): they're both super smart, but while Raymond is more introverted, Orville is the extroverted one. They both fill a spot in the other's blind point! Also Orville is genuinely a kind and supportive guy, and Raymond just. loves that. they're getting married.

...Maybe

I'll talk now about Marshal because Judy's part is more...huh, "extent", bc of lunarian stuff.

Marshal also comes from a somewhat wealthy family, but his relationship with his parents and siblings isn't the best. The fame that came with being a great hockey player created a drift between them. I like the idea that Marshal is Pecan's brother. They have similar eyes idk. Maybe Marshal became a bit of a jerk and ignored his family, even after his injury. He is too prideful. And maybe, by pure coincidence, he and Pecan met again at the island

(bro i still don't have a name for it. Like, in my file it's named "primrose", but I don't think it makes sense in the AU...maybe "Paradise"? Or "Paradisio" like the girl that sings that one song "Bailando" that i really like lol.)

hmm...something else to add to Marshall...

Oh! I had this idea of him using an assistive cane because of his injury. Truth be told, I'm not very informed in this sort of things, so I'll try to keep on learning and maybe you'll see an evolution on this concept as times goes on.

Now, my favorite out of the three: Judy.

Judy, like I've mentioned before, is a half-lunarian in my AU. In the context post I linked at the beginning, I explained that she was punished to become half-lunarian because of theft. What did she stole tho?

Well...uh.

Judy has a complicated relationship with Moon, her "master" (idk what else to call them in this scenario, sorry). They're kinda jealous of their power but also completely enamored with their personality. Before her punishment, she would do things wrong just to get scolded by Moon (freak).

But in this case, she actually fucker up big time and Moon got so angry they sent her to earth and made her half-lunarian. *siiigh* all to chase that high, huh?

I'm not sure how to explain lunarian society because it is a very shifting idea on my mind. It kinda has a monarchy system, but it's also a bit modern?? Judy is the daughter of a high ranking family but that only landed her the role of Moon's lady-in-waiting. Idk man, since this is an AU sometimes i just free-styled it until something works out!

Actually, following the freaky Judy thing: I like to believe she tried to seek the same high she felt when Moon scolded her through other people. The closest anyone's got to it was probably Isabelle, Wilbur, and Ione.

Isabelle because when she is angry, she kinda has a Moon vibe to her. Wilbur because he looks a lot like Moon in both their fem and masc forms. Ione, well...she is a higher rank than her.

Unfortunately for Judy, no one can compare her dear majesty.

Sirica is a different case, tho. Maybe Judy likes to think of them as a daughter?? I think that after you peel the "freaky" layer, you get to the "actually-maybe-kinda-in-love" layer of Judy's feeling?? rn it's one in the morning im just writing whatever comes to mind.

Oh! I almost forgot Judy's relationship with Ione.

They're acquaintances. Kinda.

Ione feels sorry for her. Judy, in the other hand, is super jealous and thinks Ione wants to taunt her. But also...she likes it? Hmmm.

Maybe not toxic yuri but...tsundere yuri??? idk this can be completely platonic too.

Judy overall is my favorite because she can be so girl failure but also downright tragic: she doesn't know a life outside the one she lived in the lunar capital. So this new world, that's so...free, scares her.

Her young lady (Sirica) actually treats her decently and actively pushes her to get more friends and live as she wants; The authority figures in her environment treat with respect and are Actually Her Age (age gap toxic yuri with Moon yes); Her peers like her for who she is and not for the position she is in; Life can actually have a meaning beyond "serving my majesty" because the threat of death is present which makes time fleeting and important.

She is like. a bird. who's being caged for so long that the idea of freedom is foreign to them!

Anyways, that might be all. I've been writing this one for a while now, but I think i said all I wanted to for now! I haven't forgotten the coastreverieAU!!! I've just been... living life?? Not sure how to explain other than that heh.

Hellooo! I'm feeling like talking about my AU!!! This basically is a part two of this post, feel free to check it out for more yaps!

In this post I'll mainly talk about dynamics i want to explore within the AU. Know that some involved ocs so, huh, if you don't know who I'm talking about I'll try giving a brief explanation about them, just in case.

First I'll talk about Rosie (blue, peppy cat), Hans (smug gorilla), and Canberra (sisterly koala). Out of the other weirdos in the island, they're surprisingly the most...normal? Kinda. You see, Hans is not human...he is a yeti!!! (I love that hc idk im running with it, catch me it you can!).

Hans has been in contact with humanity for decades (being a yeti makes his life span longer than that of the average human), But it wasn’t until a few years ago that he started to live in society under a human identity. Honestly nobody minds, most people think he is like. european or smth (i hc most of my islanders as being from America, specifically Latino America so. is more of a cultural thing???). Hans is usually shy but when he is with his friends he becomes Shakespeare. I think of it as how Guillermo del Toro made his Frankenstein's creature learn about humanity and it's language through classic novels. He has a very romantic (as in the literature genre) way of describing things and expressing his emotions.

A total contrast to Canberra. In my heart of hearts, she is from the coast, specifically a small city, so her way of being is more straightforward (this is taken from my own experience lol). But don't be fooled by her "rowdier" demeanor, out of the three, i would say she is the kindest. Canberra sees Hans as a little brother: he is kinda awkward and weirdly poetic but hey! He is the nicest she knows, So don't judge him so prematurely! In game she has the play hobby, so I hc that she is into sports! In the previous post I mentioned there is an volleyball team in the island, so she definitely it's part of it (so it's Hans). Despite her short stature, she is a great libero!

Now to the last member of the group, Rosie. Honestly she is the least developed of the group...she is a city girl who moved to the island for a new beginning! (And maybe a chance to start her pop star career). She gives me a bit of Draculaura vibes?? You get me?? Like bubbly and all, maybe a bit of a daydreamer, but a good friend overall.

Now I say this three are the most normal of the island because the next dynamic is actually another trio! And they're more chaotic.

This group is made up of Raymond, Marshall, and Judy. If you were there back in the beginning of acnh, you know what this is. The big three. The iconic dreamies. They're kind of a disaster in this AU.

I've talked about Raymond: he's a nerd and has a bit of an ego because he works in finances (mf graduate from accountancy and believe they're the smartest person in the room). He grew up in a very healthy household with Marlo, his adoptive father. Raymond is kind of a jerk when he first arrived, but his edges were softened thanks to the island's peaceful, diverse cast of characters (and his bf big ti-, i mean heart. god, im normally not like this. shot me down).

Judy, like I explained here is not even human. She is basically a criminal punished by becoming half lunarian and exiled to earth because of her theft. Now something i think I haven't mentioned is that she stole from non other than Sirica's mother, who is, huh, THE MOON? So yeah, her crime was kinda severe. Anyways like Raymond she also has kind of an ego, but it mostly because of her old position as a "lady-in-waiting" in Moon's court. Adding to this she has appointed herself as Sirica's lady-in-waiting because in her words is "part of their (Sirica's) heirloom"??? Whatever that means.

Sirica probably got tired of having Judy up in their ear all the time and, as her "young lady," asked her to make friends. Those ended up being Raymond (somehow) and Marshal.

Now, Marshal is one character I haven't talked about before. In the game, he and Raymond share the same personality type (smug), but in my AU, Marshal is more composed and cool than him. Marshal was a hockey player who retired after a grave injury. He doesn't like talking about it. He had met Raymond before in a rich-people gathering or smth, but didn't talk much.

Marshal is the most "level-headed" of the three, but truly is because he is kinda apathetic towards life? His apathy ends up coming across as common sense between the insane shit the other two idiots do and say.

Despite arguing all the time (whole house mad 😭), they DO care about each other. In their own ways! Raymond and Judy will fight tooth and nail for each other because "only I get to insult them!" and Marshal will get mad if someone is rude to the other two. I call this flavor of friendship "the triple bakas": Marshal is Neru, most of the time Judy is miku, and most of the time Raymond is Teto. The later two exchange those roles regularly.

For example, when it comes to Raymond's love life! Despite how much they insist they don't care about Raymond's Gay Nerd Crush on Orville, they're INVESTED. Anytime he meets them after hanging out (date) with Orville, they'll be like "hey how's it going? Did you enjoyed it? You know. kissing men". They have a bet on who confesses first. Marshal is winning (he is beting on Orville).

The next dynamic involves my oc Mimi, so if you don't know about here, I'll leave this post in which i kinda talk about her. Anyways the other side of this dynamic is...Gullivarrr!

Okay, so, Mimi is an ushi-oni. A spider-cow demon (yokai). They are know for being on beaches hunting prey that goes from fish to humans. Gullivarrr is a pirate. Pirate and sea beast. It's obvious!

They actually have more history than that: One stormy day, Gullivarrr and his crew were sailing through the sea. They had stopped on the port of a certain..."folk-y" town, among mountains. From the rain and fog on the horizon, they saw a huuuuge shadow approach under water... Without thinking, Gullivarrr ordered his crew to scare it away by striking it with a harpon.

What they didn't know, is that this creature wasn't alone...

You see, in my AU, Ushi-onis don't stay in the same beach for the rest of their lifes. They migrate every couple of decades. But ushi-onis don't swim. Instead, they ride the backs of great whales until they find a beach to settle in. By attacking the great whale, not only did the pirate crew meddle with a natural process, they also angered the traveling ushi-oni.

The beast jumped into the pirate ship, attacking and destroying whatever got in her way. Gullivarrr, knowing that if they didn't stop the creature, the ship would be literally torn apart, search for another harpon and battle the ushi-oni himself. He was able to slice one of her horns, while in return, the creature slayed the left side of his face, leaving him partially blind.

Now...a little tangent: ever since the ship took a break in the folk-town, and later returned to sailing, they had been dealing with a mysterious shortage of food...at first Gullivarrr brushed it off as rats. But when a whole dinner was stolen one night, he knew they were dealing with...a thef!

That day, before the ushi-oni attacked their ship, Gullivarrr had promised his crew he would search for the one behind the food shortage and make them pay...

Now, while the battle happened, many crew members jump to the water, thinking it was the end. Between those people, was someone who didn't belong to the ship, their so troublesome thef. A child that had snuck into the embarkation when they stop in that port...none other than Sirica!

I've mentioned before that Sirica arrived to the island through a "ship-wreck", well, this is the one! That's right, it's all connected!!!

I think is funny; if it wasn't for the ushi-oni (who, of course, was Mimi), Sirica wouldn't have arrived to the island. And if it wasn't for Sirica leaving their house abandoned in the mountains of the folk-town, Mimi wouldn't have a place to hide and heal her wounds. And! If it wasn't for this ship wreck (because the ship did, in fact, ended up destroyed), Gullivarrr wouldn't had have to call his nephew, Gulliver to come and save them! (He is his uncle here yeah).

It's like a perfect puzzle, in which every piece of it, despite never having meet before, somehow completed the picture of what ended up being the story of this AU!!! Woah!! I love storytelling!!!

Anyways, as to their ACTUAL dynamic: they hate each other. If Mimi ever comes across Gullivarrr again, she'll rip his throat. And if Gullivarrr ever faces her, he'll probably slash that other horn as payment for what she did to his face. They're enemies o(^o^)o idk if there is a chance at forgiveness with these two. Maybe through Sirica?

Wuaaah! Today is Sirica's birthday!!!

So, to celebrate, I decided to make this post talking about them! From a bit of their creation to some fun facts and such, hope you enjoy!!!

So, I've talk a bit about Sirica's origin as a character, but I think I've never actually talked "in-depth" about the process of making them.

Sirica originated from another character i had named "Atun" (or "Tuna" in english). Atun was the first acnh character I made when I first played the game (bc I'm the type of person to make up characters/ocs when faced with the option to. I've never like...get into self-insertion so, maybe it's that?). Atun was a very upbeat girl, but she didn't have much backstory...

(Some atun sketches i have shown before I think. These are from like 2020 or early 2021).

I don't remember exactly when, but deleted my island and Atun was no more...in that time I didn't play new horizons much because we were back at school and my mind was occupied by other things. But I was still a fan of the characters and the little stories I've made up in my head lol.

Now we jump to 2024, I was freshly out of school and I entered a "tech course" of fashion design and pattern making. For our final assignment that semester, we had to make a fashion collection with at least one fully made design. We were free to choose our inspiration behind it and...honestly I have no idea how I ended up choosing this, but my collection was inspired by the myth of Andromeda.

I was a huge mythology and astronomy nerd back when I was like 10 or 13, so in a way i was reconnecting with my old roots lol. Andromeda, for those who don't know, was a Ethiopian princess that, because of beauty, her mother Cassiopeia said that she was even prettier than the Nereids (sea nymphs basically). As a punishment for this transgression, Poseidon, king of the sea, send a beast to destroy Ethiopia: Cetus. The only way to prevent this catastrophe was to chain Andromeda to a rock, dressed in golden jewelry, and offer her as a sacrificed to Cetus.

Now, from this tale I made my collection...and a character! I never got to name them properly, but I think from design alone you can see who they ended up being:

They were made from one of fhe designs i did that i ended up liking so much that, i basically created a character around it. I never named them properly, so let's call them...Cetus!

Their story was a bit messy, but it was something like this: They were the princess of another civilization that, because of their beauty, ended up being punished. But in this version, their punishment wasn't to be eaten by the sea creature (cetus) but rather...to become them! Because of magic and something, they were able to "seal" this transformation within then, but now they have to be careful not to set it free (actually, from this story, I got some inspiration for the chimera Wilbur one lol).

Like many things in 2024, I ended up forgetting or simply leaving behind Cetus, because i was very sad after my stepfather's passing. But, funnily enough, it was in this time that I got back into acnh.

I started rewriting the stories i had, with more care and new lore. I knew I wanted to center most of the "plot" around Wilbur because he was my favorite, but I also felt like I needed a companion for him. Someone who is completely different and also is able to show of the life in the island outside the airport.

That's when Sirica was actually born.

Mixing Atun, my first acnh oc, with the design (and some other elements) of Cetus, I created Sirica!

The first drafts of their story were completely different. In one, they were a mermaid(?) Kinda. In another, they dressed up like a magician and actually hated Wilbur but later bonded with him over shared interest. There was one in which they were the child of another resident in the island?? Although i never got far with that one (I think that was the same story in which they had a little crush on Orville??? Idk man i was doing some buuuullshit).

I have some sketches for all of this but. unfortunately (or fortunately lol) I'm not in my house rn so, you'll have to imagine how those looked like.

I honestly don't remember how Sirica became, well, Sirica. I guess it was a matter of trial and error until I finally had the bases for something I liked, which ended up being this fairy-tale-esque, kinda folklore inspired story of them being a child of the moon. Even in this story, you can see some influences of the original Cetus in the more "mythical" side of things while retaining that carefree and wholesome nature of Atun.

So, i guess Sirica truly was the friend I made along the way haha. Despite everything, I love them dearly. They're kinda like my own Disney princess!! (I was a huge Disney fan when I was younger...jeepers).

Now, some fun facts!

Sirica's name comes from a character of the second season of "Hoshi no Kirby" (or "Kirby of the stars "). Although their name is sometimes romanized as "Silica," i stuck with the "Sirica" romanization because it was the one used in the subtitle version I watched. I took some things from their design too, for example orange as their signature color.

Still, when i later found out their name basically means "Siren" (in latin), or "To flow" (in slavic), i knew it was perfect lol.

Sirica actually shares the same moles as my hc version of Reisen Udonge Inaba, which are actually taken from my irl moles lol. Expect Sirica has one a bit up their eyebrow and Reisen has alike, a lot more through her body (just that I forget to draw them).

Before "Serina", Sirica's real name was going to be "Lorelei", as a reference to the siren. Also because i really like the song "When Mermaids Cry" which approaches the story of Lorelei as a tragic love story. At the end I didn't stick with this idea because I wanted something moon-related.

Serina was actually meant to be written as "Serena", which is the spanish (and also english i think??) name of Usagi Tsukino, better know as Sailor Moon! For a veeery brief period i thought of naming them "Calliope" because of the muse and also the asteroid, but like I said, it was a very fleeting thought.

From the brief description of Mimi's backstory it may be easy to assume, but the mountain in which both Sirica used to live (and the one Mimi lives in now) are close to the small village in which "City Folk" takes place. Funnily enough, that's also the same village (or rather town) in which Phyllis, Pelly, and Pete work at in the main AU. So, it's all connected...

Now, some more "in-universe" fun facts!

Sirica has myopia. Although not as bad, they frequently get headaches because of it. Later on in life (like, when their turn 16 or smth), they finally get glasses.

Since they lived isolated from the world most of their life, Sirica only source of learning was their mother, who taught them about any topic they were curious on. One of those topics ended up being math...so they're very good at it.

Following the line of the last one, because of that same isolation Sirica didn't learn about much music until meeting Wilbur, who in my au is a certified music nerd. They listen to a bit of everything, but, despite Wilbur's best efforts, Sirica ended up liking a lot of Maroon 5 songs (he HATES maroon 5).

Their favorite K.K Slider songs are: New Horizons (live version); K.K House (aircheck); and Two Days Ago (aircheck version. This is one is actually because it's one of Wil's favorite songs).

Sirica knows how to play various instruments, such as the accordion and the trumpet. They somehow learned.

Despite their immense curiosity, Sirica can get scared easily (see how they react in that one comic in which Wilbur fells into the river). They tried watching a scary movie with Wilbur and Orville once. They ended up covering their face most of the time.

Sirica actually has a sort of "birthmark" in the right side of their abdomen. It has the shaped of a crescent moon. Yes, their mother may have something to do with it.

Like I showed yesterday with the fully-human Sirica drawing, they were born with dark brown hair. The change to white was due to Moon's lunarian influence. But unlike their fully-human form, they were born with those big ol bug eyes.

Sirica's perfect order at The Roost is coffee with milk. and some times whipped cream. Wilbur has started scolding them lightly because of how much sweets they eat (their diet isn't that healthy).

Actually, following up the Wilbur thing. Sirica DOES sees him as a parental figure, it's just. they don't have a single idea what that is. Like, they know what parents are, they just haven't grasped the idea of someone who isn't blood related being able to be a "parental figure" to you in their head.

Sirica has a small, childish crush on Celeste. And maybe even Olaf, but that's because he looks and acts a lot like the princes in their favorite comic stories (mangas).

Sirica's favorite animals are frogs, sheeps and cows. Their least favorite is Evilbur.

I don't talk much about it, but Sirica does feel some sort of anger every time Wilbur compares them to Orville. In that point in the timeline Sirica isn't sure why, but (and you may have guest it) it has to do with them being transfem.

Sometimes Sirica arrives at Wilbur home, uninvited, to eat because they don't know how to cook. Sometimes they even end up sleeping in the couch. Later on tho, Judy moves in with Sirica so their visits aren't as common.

Sirica hates planes. They hate the seaplane.

Despite nearly drowning, Sirica is a good swimmer.

If Sirica had a theme song, it would probably be the Trojan Green Asteroid's arrangement of "Desire Drive". Unlike others, who are moved by wishes and goals, because of their young age and past, Sirica is mostly motivated by desires. Or rather, "impulses". I really like how this song starts upbeat just to get to the chorus and turn a bit dark. Once that first chorus hits, the rest of the some only keeps on with this desperate aura of trying to reach a satisfaction that may cause you a lot, and maybe wasn't even meant to be reach in the first place. I think in a way it fits Sirica's more tragic side.

But if we are talking about lyrical (and happier) songs, I think "Sunny" by Boney M fits their general lighthearted vibe. I also think some Sakura Card Captor songs fit them because of the more "shojo" vibe, like the first opening "Catch You, Catch me" by Megumi Hinata; or the second opening "Tobira wo Akate"/"Open the door" by ANZA: even the first ending song "Groovy!" by Kohmi Hirose.

Sometimes i feel I'm being overwhelming with my whole acnh au stuff and then i realized I've only been daydreaming and not sharing anything!!!

So, I'll try to fix that. Here are some things i would love to share about my main au (Coast Reverie) because it's like my playground of concepts and stories and, huh, other things!! Also, I like wacky slice of lifes so...

(Kinda long yap ahead!)

First! The residents service crew: i mentioned before that Raymond works there, and honestly his dynamic with Isabelle and Nook is fun. He is the "straight man" of the three, although he is anything but straight lol. Velma (the snooty goat villager) also works there, and although she isn't part of the friend group, she is important for...other reasons. The resident services crew is, in other words, the "office sitcome" part of the au.

The volleyball team: it isn't crazy to think there is at least one sports team on the island. Like, these types of recreational activities are essential in a community! This storyline is basically me implementing all the things that I enjoyed of Haikyuu and Blue Lock (<- CRAZIEST SPORT ANIME I'VE SEEN. Why are these guys threatening to KILL EACHOTHER AND THEMSELVES over a game of football. jeepersss). Orville is part of it btw! But he is a later addition to the team. The volleyball team is the "spokon" part of the au (you could say im "covering all my bases" with this things lol).

The evil legion/The Wilbur Hating Club: Evilbur is (unfortunately) a recurring character in the AU because...it's easy to do funny stuff with him, but he isn't a one-man show...he has his minions!!! I did make a list of the known members of the Wilbur Hating Club, but i don't talk much about them. The most active members are, of course, the ones that reside in the island, those being: Apollo, Wilbur's ex; Olaf, nobody knows why he's here actually; Bruce, finds Wilbur sketchy; Lobo, actually he doesn't hate Wilbur, he is just here because of Bruce. After a while their relationship turns into that of Tiziano and Squalo from jjba: golden wind (if you know you know) lol; and of course, Evilbur because he is the founder of the club. Actually...I would have add Gulivarrr because he has a weird homoromantic tension with Evilbur but since he just comes to visit sometimes he isn't like, an active member.

If you're wondering what the hell does these people do, the answer is: nothing! They're just passing the time talking bad about Wilbur and maybe doing some other recreational activity. SOMETIMES tho, Evilbur gets into an argument with Sirica and they hold honest-to-god debates about Wilbur. Most of the time the other members end up siding with Sirica because. they're the island representative and at the end they all go out to eat ice cream or smth. I guess the Wilbur Hating Club is like, the typical trope of the "league of villans" in the story???

Now...I mentioned this one before but without much detail. But it feels right to now introduce to you the ACTUAL evil legion: this is a secret group made up of Velma, Olaf, Petri & Ribbot, Hippeux and the founder who is a mystery...They came together with one goal: control the island. Each one has their own reason (power, fame, money, whatever) and since the island isn't that big, it wouldn't be difficult, right?

Their first plan was that Hippeux, with his great family heritage, payed Tom Nook a large sum of money for, huh, "leadership of the island". But Tom calmly told him that he isn't truly the leader of the island. Sirica is.

Since they're the island representative, they would have to talk to THEM to actually get something done.

Problem is, Sirica doesn't know any of this, and they're not interested. But the ones who DO know are the other members of the "government" staff of the island (Isabelle, DAL, and the museum).

And honestly these guys would much rather keep scheming in the shadows than to get in trouble with a guy like Wilbur who is built like a wall, or Isabelle who would no joke solo them all without even trying.

Despite this, they keep trying to get to Sirica in other ways. For example, Olaf has gone undercover in the Wilbur Hating Club to somehow get closer to Sirica and convince them to join. That way they would have Wilbur out of the way.

Others, like Velma, work closely with the government staff so they can somehow get control of the island without having to go through Sirica (and maybe get Isabelle and Tom out of the way, too). Unfortunately for her, Raymond kinda suspects she is doing something shady, so she is doing minimal process on her end (because most of these people keep their member status as secret. Ended up doing some more sketches that i really liked. Hopefully tomorrow i finally get my pc working.

(For context, the second sketch is from the "Another Story" AU I mentioned like a few days ago . Kids are scary what the hell).

Raises my hand.i would like to hear your thoughts about your drawing of Sirica hugging Wilbur and that other lady….im very curious!

I really like that drawing! The page says it's from the 21 of march. I have some thoughts about it, I'll start with the big lore ones and then more fun facts:

Thinking about it, i realized I don't show Sirica being physically affectionate with others. Maybe the closest was the end of the worm comic, in which they're reaching to hug Wilbur. In reality they're very affectionate with others, even people they aren't particularly fond of, like Evilbur. That's suppose to be a reference to how aussie shepherd are friendly and playful, but with Sirica's past of being isolated, I think it takes a more sad meaning (Also why they're crying on the drawing).

But, that's were the lady comes in! I still don't have a name for her ugghhh. For now I'll call her Moon because, that's basically what she is. From the rare times she came to visit, she was very affectionate with Sirica. Despite their not-so-healthy dynamic, Moon really loves their child. Think of it as how Kabru's and Milsiril's relationship is: A long-lived being over protective (and in Sirica's case, maybe even possessive) of their short-lived child. Expect, the more Moon spends with Sirica, the less human Sirica is. Whether Moon's influence in that is intentional or not (subconscious) is up to you!

As much as Moon would love to have Sirica besides them in their court, in the moon capital (that's what im calling the place Moon lives now, so there is no confusion when I refer to him as "Moon". Also, yes, I'm using she/he/they pronouns with Moon, whateves), they don't want to take that decision for them (but they are very comfortable taking a lot of other decisions on Sirica's behalf. Classic parent hypocrisy, i guess).

Now, to the fun facts!

Moon is meant to resemble Wilbur, or rather...he is meant to resemble Moon! The same way Wilbur sometimes sees (or rather projects) young Orville on Sirica, they see their mother on Wilbur! (mama wilbur?).

It's difficult to tell because of the sketches quality, but in the "Wilbur in Sirica's mind" one, you may notice his eyes are a lighter color and his hair is shorter, all of this is because Sirica projects some of their mom's qualities in him.

(Ever seems i watched Candy Candy and Revolutionary Girl Utena, I've been obsessed with this idea of characters misremembering their loved ones and unconsciously giving those memories the characteristics of other characters they interact with. Is like another form of angst lol).

This is also true to the clothes Moon is wearing! If you look closely, they're very similar to the ones I draw Wilbur in sometimes! (Those are his out-of-work/staying at home clothes!). Alongside that, Moon is wearing an apron, a headband and some hair-clips. This is supposed to be a reference to her hobbies of working with clay and gold (basically a ceramist and goldsmith).

Actually, that in itself is a reference. In the Muisca tradition (the Muiscas were one of the civilizations that lived in Colombia before the arrival of conquistadors. In the present, they're in a process of "re-vitalization"!), some of the offerings to the moon goddess, Chie, were works of ceramics and gold. I thought it would be fun if Moon herself was into those things (she is basically making offerings for herself lol).

In the drawing it isn't clear, but in her human disguise, Moon is actually taller than Wilbur. I have this rule that any non-humanoid being disguising as human is taller than the average. For example, Mimi is an Ushi-oni, and in her human form, she is taller than Wilbur too. Moon is a bit taller than Mimi because...she is the moon. The closer she is to the sky the better lol.

Moon's human disguise is partially inspired by Keiki Haniyasushin from touhou 17, AND Chimata Tenkyuu from touhou 18. And now that we're at it...Sirica is, to a lesser extent, inspired by another touhou character, Kaguya Houraisan! From touhou 8 (I'm always bringing up touhou im sorry 😭).

Moon does know to an extent where Sirica is, and that's kinda why he insists on sending weird lunarian folks to the island disguise as humans (Ione being one of them) to bring them to him. The problem is, most of them either stay on the island living like normal people or stay at the hotel for a while and then go explore the world. Sirica may have something to do with it...

Moon DOES NOT KNOW Judy is on the island (for those who don't know, Judy is a half-lunarian being punished for her thef). If she knew, she would probably go down herself to deal with it.

Moon...kinda knows who Wilbur is?? They know someone help Sirica when they arrived at the island, but don't know him by face, only name. Their relationship would be a bit harsher than Mimi's (bc she's mostly friendly with Wil) but in a silly, funny way??? (custody fight!! Probably).

Moon likes tsukimi udon and croissants. Figures lol.

Moon does have other disguises! They change them as they please, but they all maintain some resemble to each other (Mostly so Sirica can recognize them).

I think that's...all?? For now?? I made some sketches bc...this inspired me to lol.

In a house of leaves situation (I know you haven’t read it but just imagine) who in your main animal crossing AU would go into the infinite hallway first

ohhh...you have come to me with the horrors I see...very well...yes, indeed, very very weeeell.

Sorry, I wanted to make something different this time. I'm always saying, "Thank you for the ask!" Although I AM thankful bc I get to yap!! So thank you for this ask! Anyways, to the question.

Hmmm...well, i have two options that are part of the "main cast", and one who i don't talk much about, but I feel could be interesting.

As much as I love putting Wilbur through The Horros, they're mostly, like, "human bound"? Like, they aren't too...supernatural. But Orville...*rubs hands*.

I put Orville in the werewolf scenario, and despite being mostly comedic/romantic, I think it would be fun to put him in more "scary" supernatural scenarios. He is perceptive and smart, but the allure of that hallway may draw him in.

Tho...wouldn't it be fun if the hallway appeared in the airport? I being to airports in the capital city, and. what the hell. they're huge. and they have a lot of places to go. Genuinely, I get lost sometimes when I'm there. Of course, the island's airport is very small, so the horror would be closer to the one of the book: a place you know well suddenly has rooms and what now pop up into existence and now you "have to" investigate them (no you don't. Don't do it!!!) to find the truth behind this big mystery... expect you were never meant to find it. Curiosity strikes the cat once again!!!

Now, if it wasn't Orville, then it would be Sirica. They have some "thematic" connections with houses. When I write them, I kinda have to remind myself that their story is very horror-like. I mean, they were hiding from the rest of the world in a house for who-knows-how-long (i know. but whateveees). So, in this scenario (which happens in their house in the island), is like. "My new house, my home, has suddenly changed into something that I don't know and im scared because, as much as I wanted change, this feels like going back to my old cage". Something among those lines idk.

The best way I can put it is this:

Orville -> " have to find the truth behind this because I feel this is a way of proving myself. Also mysteries are fun!!"

Sirica -> "I'M BACK IN THE FUCKING BUILDING AGAIN!!! OH MY GOOOOD"

Huh. Now the third option.

This wouldn't be a post of mine without a bit of unseriousness. I'm light of heart.

The third option, and you'll have to bear with me, is basically the HHP crew (Lottie, Niko and Wardell) in a scooby doo-esque faced off against the house of leaves, starting by the infinite hallway.

Okay, so, since the whole gimmick of HHP is decorating houses, what if...a new house pops up without reason, they enter it together, and find out that it's bigger than it seems, and it connects to other houses that equally pop up without reason. Like, they're investigating and open a closet, then boom, they're in one of the island surrounding the resort.

Also I say scooby doo-esque because I made that joke before and I'm going to use it again. I want them running through doors and putting up traps against a "monster" that was never there. And when they finally figured it out. SHOW OFF WITH THE HOUSE!!! MONSTER HOUSE STYLE.

WILBUR COMES IN WITH A MACHINE GUN IN HIS SEAPLANE. EXPLOSIONS AND ACTION AND DEATH!!!! YEEEES!!!!

Okay I might have lost the plot. forget that last part.

But yeah. I need to read House of leaves. But first, I have to finish this one book that I hate. but I'm too prideful to just drop it. A book won't defeat.
