How did you choose their name?
The name Grant came from Castlevania actually. More specifically ‘Grant Danasty’ from Castlevania III who was thief-like character you could play. I most definitely got some inspiration from Castlevania as well when it came to Grant’s character.
As for the ‘Yaeger’ it’s German for ‘Hunter’ and was inspired partially from Metal Gear solid!

☹ - Something that makes your muse sad/upset
The Au Ra was completely quiet as that question came to his attention. His tail had stopped it’s waying as he slowly wrapped his arms around himself. What was something that would make him sad or upset… he easily knew the answer well enough. But he dared to not say anything, he didn’t want to open up those nightmares again. And he didn’t want to give someone fuel to potentially bend him at the knee and have him do their bidding. He didn’t want to give anyone a potent poison that they could use against him in the future.
OOC Mun Talks: Hello! I apologize that this one (like so many other asks) got buried and took me so long to get to! This one is actually a hard one to work with because when Jacques gets sad, he tends to lose it because of past trauma and just general PTSD due to certain events in his life. I hope I can ‘word’ this properly so that it gives off the idea of what happens when Jacques does indeed get sad.
Jacques as a whole is something that is going to outlive those that he loves, he’s going to outlive his companions and the like. Even if they are one of the longer lived races like the Viera or Elezen. Jacques is pretty much not ‘normal’ and that has been mentioned plenty of times around here. Being a ‘dragon’ (Well he is one, he’s technically a Great Wyrm by this point) means that he’s pretty much going to be an old mother fucker and likely see generations from those he has meet come and go. Those that he loves will grow old and pass away and for him it’ll feel like the ‘blink of an eye’, people he’s come to cherish as friends will go through the same. And these thoughts, while they rarely come up, do make him sad.
They remind him of the constant fact that he just isn’t normal and he can’t really live a ‘normal life’ so to speak. He’s going to outlive everyone he knows, he’s going to outlive their children and likely future generations. Sure, he’ll be around for them but the fact will constantly be there and a reminder. Again, these thoughts don’t come up OFTEN but they are there.
Now… being upset is completely different from sadness. And if you want to upset this big guy all you have to do is threaten the ones that he loves and sees as companions. Now… this is a bad idea, a very bad idea. Because this is literally painting a massive target on your back for him to nuke you… it’s enough to drive him to madness and make him lose his fucking mind. Granted… if they are not HARMED or KILLED then he’ll just try and intimidate and save them but… well if something did happen to them… you better hope you can run fast enough or that you survive the blast…

Answering this for Kazushige because he’s... really the only character I have that would (disdainfully) resort to out-and-out torture, and also slapping this behind a cut for disturbing themes:
💣: Did they ever get caught in a situation because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time?
The first thing that came to mind was when Faolan was accused of being an Imperial spy because he was found in a Garlean castrum being interrogated. Later on, someone sketched graffiti on his walls which everyone thought was Imperial code, so he was held by the Maelstrom for a while until they figured out he wasn’t actually a spy.
something they do that hurts themself
Thala’to still has an addiction to certain drugs and a moderate/light addiction to alcohol - These days, he mostly sticks to fogweed, in the past there has been a couple of heavy hitters like somnus around. But it is still drugs, it is still an abuse, and it absolutely does hurt himself - in one way or another. He has, dangerously so, accepted his vices as a part of his life.

Usually with excessive farming or raiding. Or exercising really hard until my legs give out. I usually feel a lot better and refreshed afterwards!

The only child Qina really interacted with, was her brother, Anarba. She helped her mother raise him, and she loves her brother. Anarba is currently fifteen and speaks very little common but is always eager to attempt, he will help their mother out by selling her food in Reunion. It always sells out so quickly. He is tall, lanky, and mischievous. But he is loyal to a fault just like his sister. He wishes his metabolism would slow down though so he could grow nice and plump just like he hears of his father!
