I am attempting to make a pinata cake for my friend’s birthday. The second half was not turning out (the middle refused to cook through), and considering I need a cake ready to go in three hours, I hurriedly whipped together another batch and put them in regular trays and ready to go before pulling the second half out again to see if it had finally become usable.

It had.

The other two are in the oven now because it would be a waste otherwise. I am going to have more cake than I know what to do with.

I have officially graduated into Logic.

Good part about being an adult:  Nobody's there to tell you not to make and eat raw cookie dough.

Bad part about being an adult: See the above.

I'm not even half way through the bowl and my stomach's protesting far too much and far too sweet.

Hot water is apparently not supposed to be splashed on your stomach.

Huh.

Who knew.

It's always odd to be at a mall before it actually opens to shop at, and just as odd to be there when it's opening. Suppose it's just as weird the first/only store I'm going to is aimed at little kids.

No guarantees as to how much I'll be on today. Frickbear's glasses got damaged, and replacing them requires going to the Build a Bear in person because shipping and handling is stupidly expensive to Canada. Sticking around an extra hour at work anyways because of sick calls, figured today would be a good enough day. Even though I work tonight, and won't be getting home until 10:30-11ish this way. Sleep is for the weak. Jon has assured me as much.

It might as well be daytime out there with how bright it's being.

There is a horrible lightening storm outside. Flashes are coming no more than a minute apart, normally less than 30 seconds-ish.

Kinda afraid of thunder and lightning. Kinda meaning I screamed and woke my roommates a few minutes ago at a particularly loud crash.

I have music on now with the headphones I actually just got today. And have a Frickbear to snuggle. Still. Shoo storm. This is my day off. Don't wanna spend it cowering.

I booked off July 23-August 1.

I demand tickets.

You need to log on more so I can snuggle you to death.
