a/n: this is based on the song-i cant say bye no more- by smoovlee
this is my debut fic! constructive critisism appreciated.
'wham'
the sound of the ball hitting the bar resounded around the stadium for about the thirtieth time that hour.
mischievous giggles could be perceived from three of his teammates on the bleachers. rin decided to ignore them, as always.
he readied himself for another shot when an arm latched tightly to his neck
"oh my fucking-"
"eyyyy, my buddy rin! whazup! seems like you're having a bit of trouble here. you might want something to loosen up a lil"
"what gave you that ide-" the player often referred to as cockroach didn't let him finish and slammed a slip of paper into his hand before taking off.
"that damned overused barbie doll" rin cursed before glancing at the note .
"a number?" he muttered, staring at the paper for a few more seconds, before squeezing it and putting it into his pocket.
a click could be heard as rin unplugged his hairdryer. he sat in front of the vanity and let his mind wander.
from the horror film he watched last week to sae. from sae to football. from football to practice that afternoon. then, his thoughts landed on the piece of paper sitting a few centimetres away.
he gave the object a sidelong glance before cringing and throwing the paper in the trash.
"fucking idiots" he muttered before slumping onto his bed.
rin frowned as he rose from the comfort of his bed, unable to sleep and harbouring a peculiar thought in mind.
'what are you doing? you're supposed to be sleeping right now. keep acting like this and you'll never surpass sae.' 'shut up'
he found himself picking up the paper again, it turns out it never landed in the bin.
'shut up', he scolded his inner voice 'a little entertainment won't hurt. ' his slender fingers raced the screen as he input the number into his contact list.
"hi"
and so the saga began.
two days later, a response came as he was doing his laundry
"who is this?"
"and how did you get my number?"
the text came as a surprise to rin, he had honestly forgotten about his impulsive decision.
"oh, a bedbug by the name of shido ryusei gave me your number"
"my name is rin itoshi"
rin cringed as he responded to the texts, sincerely regretting his previous actions. the pile of clothes before him had a similar expression, as if it was mocking his inner dilemma.
"i see"
"you can ignore the message if you feel uncomfortable"
"its fine i really don't mind"
"how are you doing?"
"i'm good i guess"
"that's good"
...... twenty minutes later.....
"hey um, this is really random, but what's your favourite colour?"
"i don't have one"
"you?"
"it's f/c"
"that's pretty"
"thanks"
"so..you mentioned that ryu gave you my number?'
"why?"
an awkward expression crept onto rin's face upon reading your text
he eventually told you the reason he had acquired your number, guiltily so.
"ykw im more pissed at ryusei for determining my worth to be nothing more than cheap sex"
"the real question is, do you see me the same way?"
"no"
"yeah that's what any guy would say"
as an apology, rin offers to owe you a favour that can be cashed in at any time.
"ykw i'll take it"
"so, tell me more about yourself?"
simple welfare checks soon gave way to the exchange of philosophical theories, and those in turn evolved into late-night calls and intimate conversations about what the other person thought about love.
"this is lwk a crazy question but if we met under different circumstances, would you consider me your type?"
an uncharacteristic flush decorated rin's face at your question
"if i said yes what would you do?"
he was gifted with an hour of radio silence
"i probably shouldn't have said that"
scratch that, two hours
"i really shouldn't have said that"
by the third hour, rin was considering deleting the message and claiming it a ruse.
"then do you mind if i cash in that favour?"
"dinner on friday?"
it was meant to be a random debut fic, but seeing as his birthday was near, i decided it would be both ❤ say happy birthday to my husband, guys. banner credit: @dollywons
Genre: maybe a little bit fluffy, but primarily comedic (hopefully - i make no promises)
Pairing: Rin Matsuoka/Haruka Nanase/Nagisa Hazuki/Makoto Tachibana x Reader (all separate)
Notes: Okay, so this was a random idea that popped into my head while going to get ice cream about a week ago. What happened before going was what inspired this was, when my mom asked me to take our dog outside, I randomly had a craving for ice cream. Instead of answering her question about taking the dog out, I just randomly said, “I want ice cream.”
The rest of the night we couldn’t stop laughing about it, and I still can’t get over it. (Seriously, typing this up was hard enough as I couldn’t type anything correctly while laughing).
So, I hope you guys enjoy a rendition of my random sense of language combined with swimmer boys!
Below the cut!
Rin Matsuoka
we are all aware that this boy would die for you
seriously, certified best boyfriend #1
but that also means that he isn’t afraid to make fun of you when you do or say something weird
which made this moment leagues funnier than it initially seemed
earlier, he had come into the living area of the apartment you two shared with a question
he seemed upbeat, but you were severely drained due to schoolwork aftermath and work stress
unlike him, you worked in a clothing store as a manager
it was v e r y stressful
and sometimes, you just need some comfort food
“hey, babe, what should we do on your day off?”
he was excited, that’s for sure - it’s the first night you’ve had a day off in a while, and he wanted to go out on a date with you.
but he wasn’t expecting your answer to be so...random.
“i want ice cream.”
he paused, smiled, and bust out laughing.
“w-what did you just say?”
you weren’t 100% aware of what you said, but that made it all the more funny
“i want ice cream, rin.”
he continued laughing while you continued to fully realize what you said.
“like right- right now?”
“yes, i have a craving for ice cream right now.”
he eventually calmed down enough to get out more than giggles.
“well, you wanna go? we can walk up there, but you gotta hurry, babe.”
you were up off the couch in less than a second.
“already on it!’
you both walked up there with your hands connected, smiling and laughing at the most recent occurrence.
and for the trouble, you paid for the ice cream under the circumstance that rin pays it next them.
in general, though, the statement became a small inside joke between the two of you
(seriously. kou, haru, sasuke, you name it - when you pulled this out in front of them and busted out laughing right after, they were so confused.)
(contrary to rin, though, you had to take a photo of every time their reactions came - you have an album dedicated to it and you post the images to tease them)
Haruka Nanase
haru is soft despite what he comes off as
but he still has his moments of randomness.
and this was one of them.
you two were walking next to each other, side-by-side on your way to the park.
you were hungry, he was hungry, and you didn’t want fish for the umpteenth time in a row.
and he knew this, as he really does love you and wants to expand his tastes for the future you two have planned.
so when you decided to ask a question in regards to what to eat, his answer shocked you just the slightest.
“hey, haru, what do you want to eat?”
“i want ice cream.”
you giggled the second you heard his response to your inquiry, watching as he turned to you
though he kept a straight face, you could see the confusion in your eyes
which just made you laugh harder
you two had to stop and he had to hold you up as you nearly collapsed from laughing too hard
“what’s so funny?”
you were still laughing.
“you- you- ohmygod- you’ve never said anything like that before!”
poor boy was still confused
seriously confused
it kind of hurt, if he were to be honest
but he couldn’t help but smile at your expression
or your laugh
or just you in general
and you saw it as you were calming down from your laughing high
“we can get some ice cream, haru. that was just odd coming from you.”
he was confused again.
“i like it, though. it’s sweet.”
he returned to his mellow expression, still stoic and his eyes soft
his hand was held out as you stood up, and you both continued your walk to the ice cream shop from there
now, from time after time, you tease him about his smile
(and you may have asked his friends how to get him to smile and/or laugh)
(to which they told you to tickle him when you could)
(and now he’s on guard constantly)
(look what you’ve become)
Nagisa Hazuki
boi is upbeat
like-
very upbeat
and this translates to college life as well.
so he makes the boring days so much better when they hit a terribly low point.
and while you didn’t deal with these types of days very much, the heat was starting to get to you.
nagisa was still bouncing around and trying to find something to do
even suggesting some crappy board games
you didn’t even bring anything up until you felt your stomach grumble.
“hey, nagisa, are you hungry?”
he jumped up from his cross-legged seat on the floor and yelled his response
“i want ice cream!”
you couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle at the reaction, as you were in the mood for something cold to counteract the scorching heat
he had to pull you up from your position on the couch, but you were down for ice cream
which was also reflected in the way you two walked to your favorite ice cream shop.
he had you by the hand, you were dragging your feet behind you, and he had decided to mess with you from time to time
of course, those moments were out-of-the-blue in your zombie like state, but they were fun
people had even watched as you squealed when he’d tickle you or hug your torso like his life depended on it.
still adorable to the bystanders.
either way, the fun was continued from that point on.
you both got your ice cream, he got his, and you both sat on a nearby bench beside each other
you were happy it was under the shade, he was happy that you both got ice cream
you both enjoyed the fact that this was practically an impromptu date, as well.
at one point, some of his ice cream melted off onto the grass beneath your feet
he pouted, you laughed
and patted his head.
he blushed, and you got your revenge :)
he still enjoyed it, though :)
(he got you back when you both got home by sending you into a tickle frenzy)
(pillows were involved and he still won)
(he’s vicious when he wants to be)
due to the both of you enjoying the experience so much, you’d both be 100% down to do something like this again
which translates to ‘who’s gonna say it first?’
and those impulse dates usually end in one of you getting tickled when you get home.
so yeah, fun times
(if you wanna include the time that you managed to knock your head in against the wall from one of his pillow hits)
(you hit him back hard enough to make him tumble off the couch arm and onto the floor, though)
(but, you know, just couple things i guess-)
Makoto Tachibana
yet another swimmer boi that would 100% die for you
certified best boyfriend #2, everybody!
no seriously
this is the type of guy you want to take home to meet your parents/parental figures
and he will then manage to inadvertently make them fall in love with him within five minutes
but one of the reasons he is so loved by them is his care and patience.
which is why he was worried for you at the moment
you were staring blankly at a wall in your house, despite the sound of the tv playing a screaming match in a show
he noticed, of course, and he was lost
“are you doing okay, s/o?”
you rarely did this, and it usually meant that something weird would be coming out of your mouth within the next-
“i want ice cream.”
there it is.
he laughed a little at the statement, and when you were able to fully process it, you did the same thing.
his lasted for about 5 seconds while yours lasted around 10
good times, as he got to see your smile for another time tonight.
(you’re adorable. he is soft for you. like, more so than usual)
so he was worried for nothing, thank god.
but he still didn’t know what to do about it as the shops were all closing down soon.
so he decided to check the convenience stores
a few were open!
so, at around 9:30 at night, you two were walking out to get one
it wasn’t very long, but as you two were holding hands tightly
(and swinging them. again, the sight was adorable)
(god, that was so cheesy, holy shit-)
it went by faster.
upon entering your choice of store, the cashier just peeked up from their trashy magazine
makoto was driven to find the ice cream for you as he was getting a little scared,
but you were driven to annoy the cashier upon the nonchalant interaction that just occurred.
yes, you definitely did want ice cream, but you also wanted this.
you were reaching for a two liter of soda near the machine, and luckily for makoto, he stopped you
he could see the gears turning in your head.
don’t tell me he can not and would not stop you.
(it was dark, he was scared - leave him be)
he had stopped you from causing trouble multiple times in your endeavor to get late night ice cream
thank god, cause you both knew that you’d most likely get kicked out if that were to happen.
either way, you both had your cheap ice cream after a few minutes
and the rest of the night was spent peacefully at your place, watching cheesy movies
and of course, scaring the crap out of makoto with a horror movie to provide an excuse to cuddle him when you both went to sleep

(Rin Okumura x Reader)
Summary: Rin Okumura is a hot headed demon who is hard to keep under control, only one person seems to be able to do it better than anyone, Y/N. For that, she’ll be known at the Demon’s Keeper, but what exactly does that entail for them?

Part One, Part Two: *NSFW Ahead!*
Part Three:
Rin rolled over and wrapped his arm around my waist the next morning. He raised his head to look at the alarm clock to see the time and noticed there was a piece of paper sitting on it. He slowly stood up and my attempts to pull him back into bed were to no avail. He grabbed the paper and started reading it. He walked over to the window with it “Man that’s cold.”
My attention peaked with that so I sat up to look at him. “What cold?”
He lifted the bottom of his shirt, scratching his stomach, the small happy trail he had peeking out. “Yukio left, he couldn’t even wake us up and say goodbye in person.” Rin turned to stare back out the window when he stepped back a little. I stood up from the bed and walked over, noticing myself as well. There were small black things flying through the air, they looked like little black blobs with eyes and tails. “What’s that?”
I buried my face in Rin’s back. “I’ve never seen anything like that before.” Rin grabbed his sweatshirt and jeans, throwing them on while I did the same. We ran down the stairs of the monastery and out the door, spinning around.
Rin couldn’t believe his eyes. “What the hell are these bugs?” They were everywhere, but when people were walking around in front of the monastery they didn’t even seem to notice them.
“Why is no one else reacting to them Rin?” We both walked to the edge of the property and watched. “I don’t understand why no one else is seeing them.”
As we watched the small bug like creatures we heard a voice coming from down the sidewalk. “Okumura, my friend.” As we both looked over we noticed who it was. The kid that was shooting birds a couple days earlier was coming straight for us. “Do you have a second?”
Rin stared at him, growling some, not sure what he should do. They taunted him, his lackeys speaking next. “What’s the matter Okumura? You turn chicken on us? Don’t tell me you want to run away and hide behind your daddy. Or is your girlfriend going to save your ass this time?”
I tried to step forward and give them all a piece of my mind, but as I got in front of Rin he grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him, wrapping his arm around my neck and growling at them more. “Let’s go.”
The group of guys started walking, looking for a deserted place for us to talk. As we followed I spoke to Rin quietly. “You shouldn’t be doing this Rin. What’s Shiro going to say? You’re supposed to be grounded, remember?”
“I’m not worried about the old man. This needs to be done.” He was growing angrier by the second, something I knew was never good when it came to Rin, but now that I learned more about him, I was afraid of what could happen.
When we all entered the alleyway the leader spoke to us. “Sorry about the other day, my hand just slipped, you know? Anyway, I wanna know how much you want.”
We were both puzzled now. “What?” Rin kept one hand behind me on my belt loop and the other in his pocket of his jeans.
“My parents are somewhat famous you see. And as for me, I’m about to enroll in True Cross Academy. So I don’t want any unsavory rumors about me floating around.”
“You mean you’re going to the same prestigious school as Yukio? I see your problem.”
The boy laughed. “Now you got it. Consider it hush money, I’m buying your silence. You just have to keep this episode between you and me, and that girl too.”
Rin’s grip on my belt loop tightened. If anyone was protective of the people he cared about it was Rin Okumura. “Hah, you threw me for a curve there. Keep your money, I won’t tell.” He took his hand out of his pocket and grabbed another one of my belt loops with it, turning me around. “We’ve got a lot of things to do.” He pushed me forward, our queue to leave.
The boy was getting enraged. He laughed in annoyance. “Just take the money. Everyone knows you’re so damn poor that you can’t even get into school without help.” Rin stopped walking and turned around. The boy was standing with a bill in his hand. “Take the money. That brother of yours, Yukio is his name? The only way he got into that school was by cramming like hell and getting a scholarship. Isn’t that right? I feel for you. Use this to help pay his tui-”
Before I could grab Rin to stop him he was running at the boy, cutting off his sentence with a punch to the jaw. As the boy hit the ground Rin spoke through his teeth. “Scumbag, you can say what you want about me, but never diss my family.”
The boy turned back at us, hollering. “Man that hurt. I wouldn’t try my luck if I were you!” When he turned back to us he had sharp fangs and his face had changed some. The black bugs that were flying around started to circle him. Horns started to sprout from his head and like in some horror movie his nails started to change into claws.
Rin grabbed onto me and pushed me behind him. “I don’t know what’s happening, but stay behind me.” He stood more at attention and watched the boy, waiting for his next move. “If I tell you to run, you run.”
One of the boys with him ran behind Rin and grabbed onto me, the other two grabbing onto Rin and slamming him onto the ground, face first. I fought and fought against the boy, but he was so much bigger than me. Rin struggled under them. “RIN!”
Rin struggled more. “Get your hands off her!” He tried to lift his arms to fight back. “If you hurt her so help me god. It’ll be the last thing that you do.
The boy grabbed a metal rod from a barrel that was on fire. The rod was red as he stepped toward Rin. “An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. I’m going to give you back twice the pain you caused me.”
I fought more. “Leave him alone!”
One of the guys with him seemed a little unsure about what he was about to do. “Woah, come on. You don’t really want to-”
Before he could continue speaking the young boy kicked him in the face, sending him flying backwards. “Shut up!” He knelt down and grabbed Rin by the hair, lifting his head. “Now where would you like me to burn you?”
I tried to bite the person holding me. “Stop it!” I could hear the panic in my own voice. “Rin! What do I do?”
“Your nose, your mouth, or perhaps your eyes.” He lifted his head and turned it so he could look at me. “And once I’m done with you I’m going to make you watch as I do the same to your little girlfriend.” The boy wasn’t human, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing or hearing. “A human barbeque!” He laughed manically.
Rin started screaming. “GET AWAY!” The flames that surrounded the metal rod turned blue, just like the furnace had in the monastery. They grew so large that they blew all of the men around him away. Rin slowly stood up and walked toward the boy holding onto me. The boy shoved me forward as hard as he could and I stopped myself from falling. When I looked back up at Rin he was surrounded by blue flames. All of the boys ran off except for that one that had been taunting us.
The young boy’s voice changed, it was almost demonic now. “Those blue flames are proof you are the true son of Satan.” Rin looked over quickly at him. He stepped toward me, but I pulled away some. Rin remembered the flames surrounding him and turned his body to completely cover me. “I was right.” The boy walked in front of Rin. “My name is Astaroth.” He reached his hand out. “Come with me, my young prince. Lord Satan has long awaited you.”
Rin wasn’t moving anymore. He just looked scared. “Satan has?”
A voice from behind us caught our attention. “Evil is in their hearts.” We both turned to see Shiro walking down the alleyway. I had never ever been happier to see him. “Oh lord, give to them according to their works and wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands render unto them their reward.” Was Shiro going to exorcise this kid? “Thou shalt destroy them, thou shalt not build them up.”
The young boy grew agitated. “Curse those words! Damn you exorcist!”
Shiro smiled at him. “Blessed be the lord.”
“I’ll rip that mouth of yours apart, so you can never mutter such filth again!” The boy turned his attention from him to Shiro and started running for him.
Shiro didn’t even falter. “He hath heard my supplication.” The young man reached him and swung for him, Shiro dodged no problem. “The lord is my helper.” Shiro grabbed his arm and flipped the boy onto the ground on his back. “And my protector. Thou shalt perish.” The young boy started screaming and black smoke came pouring out of his mouth. The boy became unconscious and Shiro dropped him, looking at Rin and I. “Are you two alright?”
Rin’s flames subsided and I crawled over to him. Rin reached out a hand and helped me stand up. “Forget us, is that guy going to be alright?” He pointed toward the boy on the ground.
“I exorcised the demon that had possessed him. He’ll come to in a moment.”
“Demon?”
“You guys can see them now, too. Can’t you?”
Rin looked around at the bugs and then back at Shiro. “All of these?”
“They’re called Coal Tars. They’re attracted to damp places and introverted humans.” Shiro looked at both of us with concerned eyes. “This world is made up of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. One is the material world that we live in, it’s called Assiah. The other is Gahenna, an empty realm inhabited by demons. Normally there can not be any contact between these two diverse dimensions, nevermind any travel between them, but having possessed all material substances in this world, demons are now intruding upon it.”
Rin moved closer to me and grabbed my hand, he could tell how high my anxiety was in the moment. “What’s all that mean?”
“Thanks to this uproar they’ve learned of your awakening. Demons of all species will come after you for all sorts of reasons.” Shiro looked over at me. “Y/N, do you remember what we talked about the other day.” I nodded at him. “You must hide before that comes to pass.”
“Hold on,” Rin was so confused he was getting angry. “What are you saying? What demons? And what the hell do you mean by awakening?” He started yelling. “Just what the hell am I anyway?”
“You are not a human being Rin,” Rin grabbed my hand tighter, hurting it. “You are the son of a demon, born by a human.” Shiro grabbed both of our arms and started walking. “And now just any demon. The demon of all demons. You are… the offspring of Satan.”
Rin stopped walking and stared with his eyes wide at Shiro. Shiro let go of our arms and turned again. Rin didn’t move. I walked behind him and put my hands on his waist, pushing him forward, trying to get him to snap out of it. “We don’t have time for this Rin, we have to get moving.” He slowly started to walk. “We have to get out of here, snap out of it!”
You woke up late the next day. Maybe it was the jet lag, maybe it was the depression. But you didn't have anywhere to go except the grocery store. . . Was it too much to ask for a Wal-Mart here? You sighed and pried yourself out of bed and into some comfy clothes. Grabbing your phone and wallet you hesitated as you headed out the door, eyes drawn to the garment laid out on the kitchen table.
“I almost forgot I put my uniform down here, good thing I saw it. . . Though that mini skirt looks pretty. . . Mini.” you mused, silently lamenting the fact Iwatobi high had a uniform at all. You'd need it though for the orientation tomorrow so you made a metal note to remember where it was.
The closest grocery store to your house was small but had a surprisingly good selection. You grabbed enough food to last you a little while before wandering over to their seafood section. This was an ocean town after all, the amount of fresh fish was much more than you'd seen in any market back home. You eyed the fillets hungrily as you thought of all the different recipes you could make. Reaching for a particularly thick piece of mackerel you were a bit surprised when another hand beat you to it.
You looked up to find dark blue eyes staring down at you. “Sorry,” He said. “Did you want this?” The boy held up the fish, offering it to you.
“No I'm fine, thanks though. I'm probably better at cooking salmon anyways.” you laugh. The boy looked a bit relieved at that, you could tell he really wanted to keep that fish.
“Salmon is good, but nothing can compare to mackerel. Here.” He insisted, grabbing another slice and holding it out to you.
“O-oh! I'm okay, really.” You babbled. “Besides I've never actually cooked mackerel before so I should probably stick with what I know. . .” You trailed off, eyes glued to the shocked expression on his face. Apparently mackerel was something very important to him.
“You've. . . Never had mackerel?” He asked, more to himself then to you.
“No?” You responded timidly. The boy dropped both packages into his basket before grabbing your hand, a fierce light in his eyes.
“I'm going to make you mackerel.” he said with certainty as he began to pull you away. You followed blindly for a few seconds before reality came crashing back.
“Hey! Wait I can't just go with a stranger to cook fish! Besides I haven't paid for my groceries!” You cried. The boy paused before parading on, saying that you'd check out together on the way out. You groaned as he dragged you with him. To be fair he didn't seem like the type of person who'd hurt you. But you could never be sure.
The two of you got all the way to the checkout lanes before a deep voice stopped you. “Hey, Haru, I've been looking all over for- O-oh! Hello there.” A tall brunette ran up to the two of you stopping his scolding when his green eyes landed on you. He looked down, noticing Haru’s grip on your hand. “What are you doing, Haru?”
“Makoto,” Haru started, his voice strong and passionate. “She's never had mackerel.” Makoto stared at him, wide eyed, before bursting into laughter. You glanced away, feeling your face heat up, his laugh was way too cute.
“You can't just kidnap people because they haven't had mackerel, Haru!” Makoto berated.
“I'm not kidnapping her, she wants to try it,” Haru squeezed your hand and you found yourself caught in his gaze. “Right?” Damn those blue eyes. As soon as he turned those babies towards you it was all over.
“. . . Yeah,” You caved. Haru’s face lit up at your agreement and he turned to Makoto again.
“See?” Makoto shrugged, giving you a tired smile when Haru started putting his groceries on the counter. You returned the smile, a bit nervously, and somehow you felt like he knew you were just going along for Haru’s sake.
The three of you finished up and followed Haru out of the store. While you walked Makoto tried his best to make up for Haru’s silence.
“So are you new here, or just visiting?” He asked.
“New, just moved in yesterday.” You explained. Makoto grinned at you, it had been a long time since anyone new had moved to Iwatobi and they usually weren't around his age.
“That's great! Welcome, where'd you move here from? Er, if you don't mind me asking. . .” Makoto inquired.
You couldn't keep the smile off your face as you looked up at the brunettes shy grin. “It's fine, I moved here from (home town) in America.” Makoto was definitely giving you a better welcome than Rin, or Matsuoka-Senpai, had last night. You were definitely glad not all the people in Iwatobi were as rude as him.
“Wow that's far! And you speak Japanese so well, I would have never guessed you were from America!” He praised.
“Thanks, I guess.” You laughed, blushing at his compliment. “But I still need to work on a few things. I can read print fine but handwriting still messes me up. And the honorific system is a nightmare.” You sighed and ran a hand through your (H/C) hair. You had never really had to use them with your dad or grandparents so now you were trying desperately to learn them again. “Oh, but! You guys are Makoto and Haru, right? What should I call you?” Makoto blinked, his face heating up as you stared at him nervously.Your eyebrows were furrowed, mouth pulled downwards in a soft pout, and your big (E/C) eyes shone with nervousness. Even Haru found the sight of your vulnerable face a bit too much to take as he turned away from you again, ears tinged red.
“It's fine with me if you call me Makoto, really.” he reassured you. “It's hard to learn a new language, my English is terrible so I know how you feel.”
Haru shrugged, not bothering to look at you. “Haru is fine with me. But, what was your name again?”
Makoto gaped at his friend. “You didn't ask her who she was before you dragged her along!?” Haru shrugged again and you began to realise that he must always be like this ‘The silent brooding type hmm?’ You let your mind wander as the three of you finished up your trip.
“This is it,” Haru said shortly, bringing you out of your thoughts. However when you looked up you were met with the familiar facade of your own home. Haru and Makoto were standing a few feet away on a different doorstep. A doorstep connected to the house right next to yours.
