Notes: This is what happens when I feel an oncoming panic attack and need to release whatever messed up stuff my brain is gonna form whether or not I like it. 

Fair warning for this little thing here, though: this is not very story based, much rather like a random train of thought. It may also be a little unhinged, but what can one expect when dealing with something that they don’t know how to navigate well in the slightest? 

This is also semi-based around the song “LOVE” by PEGGY, emphasis on semi-based. I was hopping between songs that I thought would be able to satiate my sense of despair and partial loathing, but that song was the kicker for this piece.

This started out okay.  This was easy at first. I was blind to the absolute disaster this would be to my wellbeing, but... I still want it.  I still crave it.  ....Maybe.

Crying doesn’t help. I’m not externally shaking. There aren’t tears streaming down my face. But it doesn’t feel right to not let it be outward.  I can feel my heart pounding in my ears.  I can also feel their hands over my ears and eyes when that one sound got me to flinch and freak out. I can feel their fingertips pushing my hair behind my ear, and their palm on one of my cheeks with their lips oh so gingerly pressing the slightest on the other.  I can feel their breath on my neck, and their hand on my leg, brushing sweet, simple little circles right by my kneecap. I can feel their hugs, tight and warm and comfortable and nice.  I can feel their gaze linger, and the tears that were about shed all because of a cheesy little moment in a TV show. I can feel the vibrations of their voice from behind, and their grip wrapped around my upper arm and my waist.  But as much as I can feel, that fails to negate the fact that this is both the beginning and the end.  Things are never gonna be exactly the same, not unless years pass by first.  This is a whole new door, and the options are limited as to what happens next.  Plan as many dates as one can desire, but I’m not them. I don’t have control over their decisions, and I know that I have no right to be particular about what they do with their time.  So this shouldn’t sting so much.  ... It does.  Why does it sting so much?  Lack of affection from previous partners? Lack of safety? Understanding?  Is it me? Is romance that foreign of a concept?  My cynicism can only go on for so long.  I can only maintain the thought that love is something that isn’t important for so long.

At least, in my book, my brain and heart shouldn’t mix. They shouldn’t combine, because if they do, something will happen that I know I’ll come to regret in the future.  I know I want this.  I know I want the fleetingly teasing touches, the gentle affection, the mutual respect, the comfort, the safe space in the form of people.  I know I want it.  I know that I find that fact hard.  I know that my heart is actively trying to shun that knowledge, and that my brain is trying to enforce it.  I never thought that I’d end up here, honestly. I thought that I’d be able to go through life with little worry in this regard. I thought that love would come, and that it would come when necessary, when some unknown force knew that it was time to push it unto me.  Is this the universe doing just that, or am I rushing it do that?

I shouldn’t have done this. That door should never have opened, and I should have never even fathomed letting it materialize. Nothing good comes from pessimism, panic attacks, and persistence.  This should be good.  I know that, logically, this is good. I know that this has the potential to work.  I know that this was the stipulation. The catch-22. The deal with the metaphorical devil.  I knew that when I let this happen.  When they leave, what do I do? If they’re alone together, I can only accept that fact. That’s all there is to do.  I wish I could find the capacity to cry about this.

I’ve never been in love before this. Never really had a chance to, if I’m being honest. I‘ve always found it cheesy, and my focus was never directed towards something that “shallow”.  I’ve been questioning if it really is that shallow, now.  This whole deal has been good. Really, it has.  It’s nice, feeling like I’m appreciated as opposed to hearing it from the mouth of my mother, father, or family member. Even teachers, bosses, and coworkers can say it and it doesn’t hold as much meaning as the small actions and expressions they direct at me.  It only just now dawned on me that this is selfish.  I want to love, I want to be loved, and I want to share love.  Physical, emotional, mental - I want love to be a part of my life.  But they come first, that’s the end of this story. That’s all there is to it.  However, love is selfish by nature.  Someone wants someone else to themself, or to themselves.  They want that person or people to be there with them at all hours of the day.  They want to hold their hands, and press fluttering pecks to their pulse points.  And now, it’s in my grasp. It’s been in theirs, though, and now I feel awful for thinking about how wrong my thought process has been.  ...  I have a feeling that I need to calm down before this progresses any futher. That, or I need to up my anti-depressant prescription.  Whichever comes first, I guess.

When You Tower Over Your Boyfriend

Request: Can I please request a imagine with Yuri Plisetsky where he has a girlfriend that is taller than him (put don't tease him about that) and she loves to pamper him?

Pairing: Yuri Plisetsky x Fem!Reader

Notes: This is so cute, istg- I'm just imagining Yuri doing things to grab his girl's attention and there's so much room for comedy. I love it! 

(I would also like to mention that this gave me a really well-needed break from homework because it’s kind of overwhelming and this was really sweet-) 

Either way, this is probably gonna come out a little later than I would like it to. I apologize for that, but I hope you enjoy it either way! I tried to incorporate multiple points for comedy to come intact as well as a few in which it could be calmer.

let’s cover the basics here: 

1. he wouldn’t really care about how tall you are. like at all. 

(at most, it’s an afterthought)

2. even if he did, he finds your height attractive. 

3. that, and the fact that you avoid doing anything that many others have tried to do regarding his height. 

(i imagine you being somewhere between 5′11″ and 6′5″)

(like seriously taller than him) 

yurio knows that he is far from the tallest, he really does

and it doesn’t help being reminded of it by people that tower over him constantly 

the short jokes get overwhelming sometimes, though

(half of the people that crack these jokes don’t make it out without being scared either way-) 

so, while your height won’t matter too much to him, what others view it as might

in fact, i can see him freaking out about small things that he can’t reach

he wants to help you, but he wants to do so by being a little cliche

(mostly due to that being about all he knows about romance and dating, but i digress) 

the roses and candies and fancy dates are typical, but then there’s the domestic stuff

and the romantic idea of reaching above your girlfriend and grabbing something that she’s too short to reach

or even laying your head on theirs

leaning down to give them a forehead kiss....

in this case, he starts cussing like a mad man since he can’t really do that

it is only slightly endearing

(you’ve had to keep him calm on multiple occassions)

it isn’t like these things don’t happen, but the roles are reversed. 

you are the one grabbing the items

you are the one that lays your head on top of his

you are the one that has to lean down to give him a forehead kiss

to the people around you, it’s slightly comical

(and realistically, it appears that way) 

but no matter, you see it as it is: he’s your boyfriend, and you wanna be sweet to him

in fact, your height has become quite the helpful thing on more than one occassion

so, it may be obvious, but you go to every single one of his competitions and most of his practices 

(within reason, of course) 

we saw how he gets when he practices.

we saw how he pushes, and pushes, and pushes, and keeps pushing until he can’t anymore. 

and we also saw how much the people around him either continued to enable him overworking himself or ignored it (almost) completely

and there are the days where he needs a little ego boost

that’s where you come in

your height  is very obvious in the crowds, even through the blinding lights and reflections of ice

you’re the one person that sits as close as you can and still manage to stand up and cheer the loudest for him

(we love a supportive partner!!!) 

you’re also the one to help him when he is sent on errands

but the best thing to come from your height are the cuddles

especially after a long day of skating and working and existing

when he’s dead tired (and frankly unwilling to deal with people), he goes to you

whether you’re at his place or not, he goes to you. 

even if you’re working, can you guess where he’s gonna go? 

your height is probably one of the best things to him, especially during those moments

when you dote on him is when he straight up melts

(it’s even funnier in public) 

one time that he was e c s t a t i c that you were there was right after he broke down on the ice during his free skate program 

he goes through, does everything peachy, then falls

he gets back up, of course, and does the remainder of the program flawlessly

but then he breaks down on the ice

(we all know what i’m talking about)

(i know that’s a fact) 

you want to run to the kiss and cry as soon as you can

you want to cradle him as soon as you can

but he’s stuck on the ice for a while after and you can’t catch him until he’s completely done, gold medal and all

running to reach him, you find him in his costume with the medal draped around his neck

the hug hit him immediately and you started to spew concerns left and right

“what happened out there?”

“are you okay?”

“did you get hurt?”

he was on the verge of tears for the third time that day 

as per usual, your head was resting on top of his 

and even though the public (and other skaters) were able to see everything, he hugged you back

tightly. 

seriously.

(but so were you, so koala hugs were returned with koala hugs) 

“i won the grand prix, (y/n), i won. i won gold.” 

“i know, baby, i saw! i’m so proud of you!”

aaaand cue the tears

yep, the famous ice tiger of russia was seen essentially bawling into his partner’s chest

a few of the skaters found it endearing, and frankly, very cute

but others were so zeroed in on the fact that you were so. much. taller. than him. 

“yurio!”

“who is that? dude, they’re gigantic!”

“are they together? cute.”

yuri was more focused on you and making sure that you were okay after he was done crying.

“is you shirt stained?”

“yeah, but that’s whatever. you won! you’re okay, though? really?” 

the shorter blonde boy wiped the tear tracks away and smiled

an actual smile, too. 

the paparazzi would not get enough of it if they were to have seen it

hell, the skaters did, too

(phichit was taking pictures and victor was crying at the sight of you two) 

(it was on yuuri’s shoulder’s to reel them in) 

(that was a whole other mess)

yuri only broke from the hug when you leaned down to kiss his head

he was blushing

and the people around you both gushed. 

‘aww’ was the most common sound for a good minute or two 

and then yuri was made aware of the people around him

“what are you staring at?!”

you were laughing

yuri looked like a tomato

(and it only got worse when you wrapped your arms around his torso and laid your chin on top of his head) 

(but you knew that)

even redder, he shoos them all away 

but yeah

he loves that things like that are possible

he really wouldn’t care if you were shorter than him or the same height, but the fact that he can rest his head against your chest is extremely comforting. 

there are also some more...impulsive things your height can come in handy for

(read: piggyback rides and lifting him up to reach something when he is adamant that he can get it) 

at your place, the cupboards were higher up for you (and your family) so when yuri would come over to help you when you would be sick, well...

let’s just say that stools would be used until you were a-okay and willing to hold him up to grab the one cup that he knows you love 

or for movie nights!!!

the popcorn just so happens to be on the top shelf, and when he wants to hlep prep everything, you lift him onto your shoulders

(once the movie has been picked out, of course)

and again, when everything is prepped and ready

you haul him up onto his shoulders and encourage him to smack the top of doorways

he has a hold of the popcorn and grabs the doorframe each time

it was really refreshing to see him act his age and be a little immature sometimes

and this was a prime opportunity for it. 

but overall, he wouldn’t mind it much (if at all) 

he sees your height as a good thing, actually

even better seeing as you don’t view him as a ‘pipsqueak’ as some say about him

it works great for the both of you, really

even when you aren’t feeling too hot, the cuddling really helps 

(he even sometimes acts as the big spoon when you need it) 

and the fun stuff that comes from the height difference is all the more better!

“I’m Not Jealous, I Swear!”

Request: may i request a drabble with yuri plisetsky? reader is a skater from Japan, about the same skill level as him, and they're already in a relationship. can you do something with reader being jealous? i apologize my wording is terrible

Title: “I’m Not Jealous, I Swear!”

Genre: a lil mix of angsty, fluffy, and romantic (if you squint, in some cases). plus some tiny comedy cuz yoi antics- 

Pairing: Yuri Plisetsky X GN!Reader

Notes: So, this was pushed back for the longest time, but it’s done now and I hope it’s to your liking! I apologize that it took me as long as it did to finish it, but college dealings, work, my birthday, and a ton of other personal crap came along and decided to knock me square on my ass. 

That said, it’s done now and ready to read! I really do hope you like it, and I also really appreciate the request itself! (And don’t worry about the wording, I understood it perfectly!)

You and Yurio were connected at the hip when possible. 

Though you hailed from different countries, you both managed to convene and get to know each other over the years and the multiple competitions. Though you were both in the same age groups each time, you both never really interacted until the time Yuri had come from Russia. 

You and Yuuri were the only officially registered Japanese figure skaters, and you had seen the whole fiasco with Victor and Yuuri. The drunken dancing, the absolute lack of awareness for personal space, and the extreme secondhand embarassment. 

And the eye contact you made with the blonde Russian boy. 

The words that Yuuri spoke directly to the face of the renowned figure skater rang true, apparently. Especially when you were met with the face of said figure skater and Yuuri, red-faced. 

The rink was no different, as you were skating beside the taller silver-head and the raven-ette was stuck behind the walls. You shared a very surface level conversation with the world-renowned award winning figure skater, as well, but mostly kept to yourself until you left the rink. 

That is, until you went to see about going to the rink with the two the following morning. 

You dropped by the hot springs early in the morning, seeing as the sun had barely even started to rise yet. Dead tired, but determined, you met with Yuuri’s family and were provided a breakfast fit for a god by his mother. 

Footsteps were heard through the walls, and expecting no one else besides Victor or Yuuri himself, you kept eating. 

“You!” 

What. 

And the rest was history. 

Yurio and yourself never failed to appreciate and improve the others abilities throughout the experience of the two Russian skaters residing in your home. 

Even after he lost to Yuuri in the small competition that was held, you and Yuri made a promise to keep in contact. And keep in contact you did. 

Facetime calls, text messages, funny pictures from Instagram, and videos and songs for the upcoming Grand Prix resulted in the two of you developing a bond that people could only dream of finding in their life at any point. 

When you both finally met again, you being trailed by Victor and Yuuri (who also happened to be attached at the hip), you and Yuri immediately made a b-line for the other. 

Anyone around the two of you could clearly see (or at least confidently infer) that the two of you were dating. And dating you were.

As soon as competitions and practices were done for the day, you and Yurio agreed to meet up at a popular restaurant. Upon hearing of the plan, Victor had decided to take Yuuri there and join you two. 

“Victor, I was kind of...well, hoping that Yurio and I could dine together. Alone. In peace.” You punctuated your words with sharp looks at the tall skater-turned-coach. 

“Of course, however-”

“No, Victor, I’m saying that Yuri and want to be alone. On a-” You gulped, this would be the first one you’ve had with him in months. 

Victor sent a knowing look your way, watching as your body tensed up. Fidgeting with your hands was all he needed to see to solidify what he was thinking. 

“Alright, alright! Yuuri and I will go someplace else, then, yeah?” And, alas, the plan was set.

You met with Yuri - or at least planned to - at 7 PM. Stood beside the door in your most flattering semi-formal wear and warm jacket, you pulled your phone out to text him. 

‘are you almost here?’

Exiting your messages, you slipped your phone into the pocket it resided in previously and wrapped your arms around yourself to keep your body as warm as you could in the winter weather. 

Yawning, you kept an eye out for your blonde boyfriend, watching the streetlights to see if his slight frame would pop out from the shadows. 

Peeking around a corner, you noticed him walking along the sidewalk, but he was accompanied by someone. Someone that was not you. Someone that was getting a little too touchy - something that both you and Yuri had to agree on. 

The girl had ears on her head, leading you to assume that she was one of his more forward fangirls. Practically hanging off his arm, she had hearts for eyes and Yuri looked like he was fighting the urge to throw up at the mere sight of her. 

By the time he was within earshot, you could hear her gushing about the area and the sights within it, which ones would be best for him to see, causing you to flare red. 

People around you would have seen steam bursting out of your ears if it were possible. 

“There you are! I was getting worried about you,” you shouted, speedwalking to meet the boy and the brat midway. “Did something happen?” 

Yuri sent a semi-panicked, semi-annoyed glance to the fan to his side. “Crossed paths with a fan on the way here.” His eye twitched as he ripped his arm from her grasp as easily as he could. “Sorry about that.” 

You, in a moment of impulse, grasped his arm and hugged him close to your body. “It’s all good, seeing as you’re okay, darling. Should we get a table now?” 

Yuri went red, as did the girl that trailed him, and you just snuggled yourself into his side. He blinked, lost, before stuttering out and low answer. “Yeah, sounds good.” 

The girl huffed and stormed off, glaring at you when she’d peer over her shoulder when sulking away. You just sent her a smug grin, mouthing the words ‘He’s mine’. 

It took him a solid ten minutes to regain his composure, which happened to hit him when the both of you were already seated in the restaurant. Your jacket was off, and you had your phone laid to the side of the table, waving your hands in his face. 

“Are you there?” 

Blinking himself to reality, he spoke. “What just happened?”

You raised an eyebrow, turning away and pursing your lips. “Nothing much. Scared your fan off for you, though.” 

You diverted your attention to a really attractive neon sign at the corner of the room and got flustered. Yuri narrowed his eyes. “Mhm, sure, of course. Totally weren’t jealous, were we? You just helped to get her off my back?” 

Your nose scrunched up. “Yes, that’s right. That’s why.” You crossed your arms and sat proudly in your seat, lips still pursed and attention still away from the blonde. 

“You know you always avoid eye contact and act all haughty when you lie, right?” His smirk burned itself into your memory and flashed behind your eyes despite the fact that you weren’t able to see it at the moment. 

“I- I do not.”

“That was another lie.” 

“Was not.”

“Was too.”

“No, it wasn’t.” 

“Sure it wasn’t.”

The air around you two turned playful. 

With his voice dropped, Yuri leaned into you as you remained firm in your stance. “You also know that you are absolutely adorable when you’re flustered, too, right?” 

You deflated and, if his eyes weren’t deceiving him, the tips of your ears were starting to flush. “Here? Really?” Your eyes were wide. 

“Finally got your attention.” He smiled, small but meaningful, and continued. “You aren’t going to lose me to some shameless fan, okay? You’re my one and only, alright?” 

Nibbling your bottom lip, you nodded slightly. “I know, it’s just that she was getting handsy and it was getting late and you were getting uncomfortable....”

“That’s true, but that wasn’t why you cuddled me in street, was it?” he taunted, the tone of his voice light, airy, and teasing. 

“I swear, I wasn’t jealous!” 

“I’ll believe that when pigs fly. Anyway, what did you want to eat tonight? My treat.”

Genre: if anyone expected this to be anything aside from funny and fluffy, you’re wrong - very wrong. 

Pairing: Death the Kid/Soul Eater Evans/Spirit Albarn X GN!Reader (Separately) 

Notes: Alright, so, let’s get this straight: I am absoluteloy in L O V E with the fact that this is the introduction that Spirit gets to the blog. Maybe a bit obsessed with it, but hey! 

Anyway, I wasn’t sure what format you wanted, so I decided to roll with a mix of headcanons and a short drabble to go with it. Note that this is mostly because I can’t help myself and I just have to do something to put more focus on it - can you tell I love this prompt yet?

Either way, thank you for requesting! I’m so happy to hear that my writing has helped you! Really. That’s why I put this stuff out for others to see, and it always makes me so happy to see that people look to this for comfort and enjoyment. So, I thank you for that! :)

Death the Kid 

with kid, i just know that he would really appreciate being with someone super strong

it isn’t often that your partner can kick ass into next week, 

or that they can bench almost four to five times your body weight,

but that is about where it ends in regards to acknowledging it

it’s you, what more can he ask for? 

but really though

he really admires your strength and your tenacity

it’s something that he can’t admire enough

HOWEVER

he will never get used to you using your strength to tease him to no end

everyone else enjoys seeing him loosen up around you

but what they never expected was seeing the stoic and strong kid get hauled around like a child with a toy by you 

seriously

you can count the amount of times it has happened, he can’t

and the twins are on constant guard of counting but they’re always off

(it’s happened around 117 times, just to let you know-) 

it leaves him a flustered mess

it leaves you a giggly one

it’s great, really

he also really appreciates that you care enough to see him smile

but he’d really like if you could calm it down a little bit

(unless the situation calls for it)

(sometimes the boy gets scared, and needs someone to haul him out of dangerous situations) 

(please help him in those situations) 

YOU AND KID had been out on a date since the early morning. It was his day from the twins, and your day from your partner (and workplace).  The sun was beating down on the two of you as you both continued your stroll through Death City. 

“(Y/n), dear?” Kid began, a bit quietly. You nodded, humming to him. “Would you want to get some lunch? I’m getting a bit hungry.”

You laughed, nearly curling over on the sidewalk. Kid was trying to cover the sight, brushing the event off as you coughing for a second. “Kid, hun, if you want to get food, you don’t have to ask like that! We can go ahead and do it!” Standing back up, you took a final breath to recover from the laughing fit that just occurred. “That said, what do you want?”

An agreement came with a small coffee shop on the outskirts of town; quiet and quaint is really all you needed at the moment. You both ordered your drinks, and each got an item off the menu, and then came to the decision to go to the park to eat it. 

It wasn’t too far away, so the shade and the bench was the perfect place to rest for the time being. Especially with a dinner being planned for later with everyone, a break from the world would be very much warranted for the moment. 

Once at the park, you both settled onto the bench by the basketball court and cuddled next to each other. You had your phone out scrolling through videos on DeathTube while Kid had his out, scrolling through DeathGram instead. 

You ran through multiple videos, playing snippets and exiting them, until you found one with a commentator that you really enjoy. They had been reviewing a knock-off movie on their latest video, so you pulled it up. “Hey, wanna watch this with me?”

Kid peeked over your shoulder and shrugged. “Sure, it looks interesting,” and then laid his arm over your shoulder as you kept a grip on your cellular. 

Cracking joke after joke, it managed to get a chuckle out of him and a nearly full-blown coughing fit out of you. 

Yes, he was worried. No, you didn’t choke on your beverage.  

Either way, some time had passed and then you heard the bouncing of a ball and the unmistakably brash tone of Blackstar. Well, you heard him and everyone else (aside from Maka. She had a great book at her apartment and refused to leave). 

“Are they really coming here now?” 

“Seems so,” Kid uttered. It rolled off his tongue almost like a chant - not like it wasn’t one by now. 

“Hey, Kid! I thought you were out on a date?” Patty’s voice rang through the area, almost bouncing off the net itself. 

“Yeah, we though you were gonna stay home,” came Liz. You pursed your lips, a bit bothered to be around everyone already, but Kid recovered quickly and pitched into the conversation. He’d tapped you on the shoulder and gestured for the both of you to stand up. 

“I wasn’t planning on staying there with them all day, it was nice out.” He appraoched them and brushed a bit of Liz’s sleeve to even the shirt she wore out. You stood by and continued staying behind. 

Soul and Tsubaki came by to talk to you, and you showed them the video you had been watching, but even then your social battery was already being drained. 

And being a bit drained and even slightly bored...

Well, an idea hit you like a train. 

You had bid Soul and Tsubaki goodbye after sharing some conversation about the coming evening, but they already knew what you were planning. Oh, did they know. (Soul was always a sucker for this, he found it hilarious) 

You ran over to Kid, standing in front of Blackstar, Liz, and Patty, and proceeded to haul him straight over your shoulder and then book it back to Gallows Manor. 

Full speed, he’d lost his empty bag somewhere along the way, and he was wriggling around. “(Y/n), why must you do this? Why?”

Smug as all hell, and willing to do it again, you let out a snort. “Because it’s fun! Now, let’s get back to the manor and watch a movie.”

Meanwhile, the twins were holding back laughter, Blackstar was confused, Tsubaki was left a little shocked, and Soul was about ready to pass out from laughing so hard.

SOUL HAD BEEN stuck at school all day. You had been laying at his shared apartment with Maka, when she also had to jump ship and accompany him. It left you lonely.

You’d tried to combat it by flipping through channels on the television, scrolling through videos upon videos you had already seen, and even checking DeathGram - the last resort of last resorts to you. 

Yeah, none of it was working. Not in the slightest.

At least, you thought so, so you went to check your messages. Tired, bored, left alone - really, you just scrolled to scroll. 

Until a small pinging noise came from your cell. 

It was a message, and when you went to check it, you saw that it was from Liz. She was asking if you wanted to go get some coffee or something with her, simply because she was bored. 

Seemed like a disease today, but hey, whatever! Coffee with her? Bound to be gossip, so why not? 

So, you texted her back and proceeded to meet her at DeathBucks. 

Of course, a couple hours went by, and you both were done. Liz’s phone rang as your were throwing away the trash that the both of you had accumulated, and though you wanted to eavesdrop (as nicely as possibly, of course), you were too far away. Pity.

Your eavesdropping plan went bust, though, since she’d come to you looking exasperated. 

“Okay, Kid wants Patty and I at the school right now. I’m gonna have to hit it, like, now,” were her words. You shrugged. 

“I’ll join you. Soul’s been there all day, anyway.”

With that determined, you both left the establishment and proceeded to go on about your day. Showing some funny pictures you snuck of the gang, and her showing you some really cool makeup looks and nail art, let the time pass by really quickly. It almost left you upset at how fast the time went by. 

No matter, business called, and eventually Liz had to split up with you and meet up with Kid and Patty. 

“See ya’, (Y/n)!”

“See ya’!”

Pouting, you decided to roam the school anyway. Maybe drop in to see Dr. Stein or someone else, even Spirit would be welcome! 

Boredom is really a bitch, because even the idea of reading that new novel Maka bought you for your birthday crossed your mind. Rock bottom was dawning on you - really, truly dawning on you.

You yawned, and instead of doing anything really worth time, you went back to scrolling. 

Whether that was through DeathGram, DeathTube, or some other miscellaneous social media site, it didn’t matter. 

Time was going at a snail’s pace, and the sites were beginning to blend together. So much so, actually, that you could have sworn that you saw the same meal pic that someone had posted about four or five times.

“Ugh! This sucks...” you moaned, leaning back against the pillar you had seated yourself in front of. When you did, you didn’t remember, but it happened! 

The shade covered your face as the sun sunk into your pants, overheating you and making you wish you’d just decided to stay inside or at DeathBucks. Seriously, the least that you could have done would have been some homework or even hopping onto an online chatroom and going crazy. 

At least, the thought crossed your mind before you heard the combination of three very familiar voices. 

Soul was trailing behind Maka and Dr. Stein, silently observing them with a raised brow. It was almost a face of pure confusion, but not quite. 

Now was your chance. 

Revenge for leaving you alone all day? Oh, most definitely, you had to do it now. 

So, with precision (at least, as much as you could have when there were two meisters with insane soul sensing abilities), you ran towards the boy and held him over your shoulder. 

A devilish laugh left you as he started shouting, “Hey, what the hell? Put me down!” and stuff like, “This is so not cool...”

But as common it was to see him held over his partner’s shoulder, Maka was still a little taken aback. Dr. Stein, on the other hand, was about ready to laugh, even if he’d never seen it before. 

Simply for that stunt, you got your cuddles but you had to make dinner that night. Win-win, I guess? 

Spirit Albarn “Death Scythe”

SPIRIT WAS LAYING on a bench beside the school, watching the sun intently. 

Was he in thought? Most likely. 

Was a Spirit in thought ever a good idea? Rarely. Very rarely. 

No one ever really had much of an idea what was going through his head when he wasn’t thinking, but chances are that he was thinking about Maka and his ex-wife. Never really a good thing.

That is, to Maka, at least. 

You had been advising a fight on school grounds when you had been alerted to Spirit’s stone-faced and quiet attitude. According to Stein, it had been happening for the past half hour. 

Maka had been pointing out things about the fight, elaborating upon some things you had brought up as well as providing points and questions if she happened to have any. 

It was a nice way to get her to bond with you, and that made everyone happy. It took her mind off her father and his habits, and allowed her to get to know you. 

It also allowed her to see the effect you had on her father. 

As much as she hated to admit it, you brought out something in Spirit that she hadn’t seen since the last time he ever truly respected her mother. It definitely hurt, but she had already began to see you as a mother figure. 

It honestly helped her see him as less of a deadbeat and more of an actual dad, too. 

Didn’t negate the fact that he played scummy games and won a shitty prize, but hey! 

The fight was almost over when you received the doctor’s message, your text ringer going off. The crowd around you didn’t really catch it, but due to Maka’s proximity to you, she did.

“What’s going on?”

“Hmm?” You turned your attention to her, watching intently as she gestured to the cell in your hand. A look of realization crossed your face as you figured what she was asking. “Oh, nothing to worry about. Spirit’s getting into his head again.”

Maka rolled her eyes, pouting and huffing. “Of course he is. What’s it about this time?”

You chuckled at her reaction, quickly sending a response and tucking your phone away into your back pocket. “No clue. Probably just a little tired, he didn’t get much sleep last night.”

You kept your eyes on the fight in front of you as you watched the students’ battle come to a close. “He was making sure that you were getting some good luck sent your way for the upcoming exam. Not that it’s really surprising, though.”

With a groan, she deflated. “Again? Really?”

“Yes, really. Now might be the time for you to get back to class, though,” you began. “The fight’s about to end.”

Shaking her head, she turned around. “Alright, alright. I’ll see you tomorrow, though, right?” 

“Hopefully, kid. Now get to class, I can tell it’s killing you to stay here.”

And with that, she ran and the kids brawling finished. You sent them off and went to do your part in bringing the red head down from an already predestined trip. 

Waving to some of the students as you passed them, you entered in the vacant E.A.T. classroom to see Stein and Spirit centered in front of the righthand corner of the room. 

Stein looked bored, possibly even bothered by it, but Spirit looked dead. Eyes sunken, skin pale, huddled into a ball. It would have been depressing had he not been babbling about ‘Maka doing well’ and ‘providing my dear daughter with good luck’. 

“Ah, you came. I was wondering when you’d arrive,” Stein announced, side-eyeing Spirit’s hunched form as he approached you. 

“No problem, was just supervising a brawl. It had to happen today, apparently.”

The doctor sneered slightly, shaking his head and pressing the palm of his hand to the screw stuck in it. He turned it slowly as the cigarette in his mouth continued to burn. “Of course it did. The amount of students being reckless isn’t surprising.”

Chuckling, you walked past the man and patted his shoulder with a common familiarity. “I’ve got it from here. You had to meet Sid and Naigus, right? Get on with it, already.”

Turning the screw once again, he let a little laugh slip past his lips and exited the room. 

As silently as possible, you crept towards your partner as he continued to worry. He was already so far in thought that you could have, in all honesty, shouted every profanity known to man and he wouldn’t have responded. 

However, you had the oh-so-amazing trump card you could use. 

A smug grin plastered itself onto your face as you approached him, arms outstretched and in a defensive position. 

Within seconds, you had run up to the male and thrown him over you shoulders, dashing out of the room and to the entrance of the school. 

Shaken as he was, he was still walking, and no longer fussing. “What the hell, darling?”

“What do you mean, ‘what the hell’?” Astounded, you gently smacked the back of his head. “You’re tired, I can tell. Get the hell home and get the hell to sleep.”

“Okay, that was attractive- but I need to be there for my daughter-”

“In order to ‘be there for you daughter’, you’ve gotta get some sleep! You can’t support her if you’re so down and out that you can barely stand.”

Nagging as it was, he sighed, pouting and nodded. “Alright, alright...but you’ve gotta stay with me.”

Laughing, you grabbed him by the hand and faced him. “Got it. Now can we go so you can get some rest?”

Title: Trust-Me-Not

Genre: a very angsty vent piece (that is one of two forewarnings), and a slight song-fic

Notes: I never really thought that I would result to doing this, but here we are! 

I’ve been dealing with a lot of conflicting stuff lately, and I can’t keep it in anymore. I don’t feel comfortable enough to tell my friends this stuff, nor my parents - anyone, really. 

The feeling of being fairly anonymous calms that just a little, so here goes nothing. This is based off the Hero and Villain song, “Trust Me Not”, by Backseast Vagabond. If you want to, you can listen to it here. 

And don’t worry, I will get to the requests right after this. I just needed to clear my mind before finishing the pieces that were requested - they aren’t forgotten. 

Otherwise, this will deal with some intense topics, and some trauma-related aspects of relationships and such that I have experienced as well as suicidal ideation and extreme depictions of anxiety and anger.

“What are you doing, dear?”

Blank eyes, bags, and looking gaunt. Lovely.

“Aren’t you tired?”

Sniffling. 

“God, what are you doing here? I don’t think that you were invited.”

Two different versions. Two different people. Of course, there was always two sides to a story. 

“Here you go again, pretending that you love me....”

Crack, crack, crack - scratch, scratch, scratch - sniffle, sniffle, sniffle - look up! 

“When just beneath the surface, you’re convinced that you’re above me.” 

Two people. One on each shoulder.

They looked similar, save for the fact that they were polar opposites. One happy, one depressed. One stable, one unstable. One actually living, the other simply surviving. 

The image stings. 

“Dig deep into the past, I’ve never been one for doing things half-assed - if I’m here to save you, I’ll be here forever!”

No. No, no, no, no-

“Just take my hand, I’ll be your knight in shining armor!” 

I slammed my fist on the marbled counter. 

Scene upon scene of the two of us flashed through my head, colors drained and atmosphere dull. 

That used to be happy. 

That used to be perfect. 

What happened? 

Was it ever perfect? 

“You think you’re a hero?”

Then the tears come. They sting too.

“And they’ll tell you, you are!”

And now sobbing. I love this, really, it’s great.

It’s amazing feeling like shit, like you can never be happy. It’s great being tired, it’s great running in circles and trying not to drive off the nearest bridge when going to your parent’s house. 

It’s great to be in a constant state of pain, and wondering if you’re leading them on. 

They don’t deserve it. They don’t deserve me and my fucked-up-ness. 

“’So stoic and handsome,’ and, ‘You’ve come so far!’”

Great, now my hands are bruised. 

Though, I guess I kind of deserve it. Especially after what I started, I deserve it. 

Nothing more than an asshole and an idiot, doing what I did and what I’m doing now. 

How can I see their face again and still have the gall to embrace them? 

I’m starting to think that all I’m good for is a good fling. 

That seems like the only course of action that I can take without it hurting. 

“You think you’re villain, but I know you’re not!”

Really now? 

Really now? 

I’m not a villain? 

...

I don’t believe it. I can’t. 

“Under all that angst and anger is a beating, human heart.”

Not true. 

“What about the lonely little girls?”

And the worst part about it is that...you’re still me.

I did it. 

The mirror is now in shards, about a fifth of them lodged in my hand.

I couldn’t hear the shatter. I could only hear them...

Them, that nasty little prick of a voice that makes me ‘happy’...

“But trust me, please believe me - this won’t stop the hurt for long!” 

Lies. 

That’s all they are, just lies.

“We don’t need to end like this! Look me in the eyes...”

“Here comes the hero complex....”

Oh, the hero complex, indeed...

Gotta love it, being so stupid that you don’t even realize that youst  head is shoved so far up your ass that you assume the red sheen over the world is your rose-colored glass when really it’s just the copious amount of feces clouding your vision. 

“I may be a villain...”

“You call yourself a villain...”

Am I the villain? Truly?

“But you’re the one who lies.”

“But we know it’s a disguise.”

Yeah, seems about right. 

I really must be the villain by now. 

Especially now. 

“So, you’re back at it again, twisting and manipulating every word I’ve said....”

The pessimist in me has always been right, from what I could observe.

This may be the only good ‘card’ that I’ve gotten.

I can’t do this anymore. 

“Stand up. Get out.”

‘Sometimes things don’t go as planned.’

I pulled my trembling body away from the mirror, blood dripping from my hands and tears staining my face. I was still struggling to breathe, and my heart was still racing. 

But I can’t do this anymore. 

‘NEW MESSAGE: Darling <3′

Delete. 

I deleted the chat I had with them and proceeded to type out a long-winded response. 

I didn’t know what else I was to do in this scenario. 

‘Hey.

‘It’s pretty shitty of me to do this to you, as I don’t know if I’m really good for you. I’m fucked up, you’re not - you don’t need the baggage. 

‘That, and I don’t know how I feel about dating. I know I liked you at one point, but now....

‘I don’t know. I don’t know what else to say. 

‘At least, besides the fact that I can’t deal with this pain, and stress, and I don’t want you to carry my baggage.

but what mostly stopped you was the fact that the mask might get stuck on your clothes and you didn’t want that

there was still one more mask to put on, that one being a moisturizing peel-off

so, you let him do yours, and you did his

(in the bathroom. obviously)

(like hell that gloopy stuff would reach your carpet)

that in itself took a hot minute since kid was determined to make your mask even

and he was so gentle while doing it too, it made you red-

and you had made sure to repay him by making his as symmetrical as possible in return

once the masks were on and the bathroom was cleared, you dug out your nail care materials

cuticle scissors, a metal cuticle remover, orange sticks, polish remover, multiple different colors of nail polish, base coats, top coats, et cetera et cetera

there was a lot

but no matter, you were going to do it

“that’s a bit much, don’t you think?”

“hmm? trust me, it’s really not when everything is ready, kid.”

sucking in a breath, he then sighed

“...alright, i’ll trust you on this. but i’m still picking the colors we’re using.”

and you left him to it.

you gathered all of the items you needed to show him how to care for the nails before the polish (as well as the base and top coats)

and kid had began to look through the colors you had.

he’d pulled out a simple black for him, and consulted you for yours

a (fav/color) polish and (black/white) were his picks for you

“how about this? would you like these colors?”

“kid, of course! i’m good with whatever you choose.”

“hmm, alright. i’m ready to begin.”

and so, it begins

you started on him, letting him watch what you did 

from getting rid of the excess dead skin around the nails, to buffing them to prep for the polish

even how to properly apply the nail polish to the nail

(though that ‘proper technique’ could be debateable-)

you let him dry his nails off before he did yours as well

he was adamant about that

he really wanted them to last :’)

(it really was sweet)

you could tell that he had paid attention to your teachings, too

he was making sure to cleanly and carefully care for your nails

the time it took was a bit long, but hey!

he did really well, and it made you really happy

and then did things get even more particular

he’d buffed the nail lightly, brushed away the dust, and when he went to put on the base coat

he nearly knocked the bottle of acetone over

“oh no!”

“i’ve got it!”

you caught it before it hit the ground, luckily

and only a tiny bit fell out

but it was still a little terrifying and left you a little more wary

kid was a little bit frozen

“kid, darling?”

silence

“kid?”

silence

“...kid?”

silence

you rolled your eyes, leaning in and pecking him on the lips

his ear turned red when you did

“...”

“...”

“...yes, i’m alright. let’s continue.”

so he did 

and he did wonderfully! 

the colors alternated per nail

(matching on each hand, obviously) 

and the cuticles were free of polish

nail shapes were perfect

everything was beautiful

and with that, you let them dry

you’d leaned your head against his shoulder once again, his arm draped softly against your shoulders

you peeked at the glossy black on his hands and smiled before letting the gentle music run through the room

and then it came time to remove the masks and do the hair

he was up first, obviously

(he said it was because he wanted to rest, but you knew he was beginning to see why nights like these were so great)

(that, and he wanted to learn how to do it himself) 

you had him tilt his head back against the bathtub in your bathroom

starting the water, finding the perfect temperature for it, and starting the showerhead all followed within seconds

he had his eyes closed and was sighing despite the uncomfortable position

you grabbed your shampoo and conditioner, preparing to wash his hair

and give him a head massage

“ah, (y/n) darling?”

“yes?”

“could you, perhaps...move a little closer to my temples?”

“of course.”

so you did.

he probably had a headache, or just some stress that he needed to relieve

it felt great for him, and he really did nearly fall asleep as you washed out the conditioner

(you already washed out the shampoo, don’t worry)

then, finally you grabbed the clear hair gloss and applied it to his hair, massaging that into his hair 

and while that settled, you laid back and kid washed your hair

gentle, and sweet, and very careful would be the only thing that could be used to describe the way he did your hair 

you had explained everything to him, and he took it in eerily well

buy hey, you couldn’t complain

he was never as relaxed as he was in that moment, and you wouldn’t ever wish to be the one to ruin the moment for him

when it came time to apply the gloss, he thoroughly did so

again, massaging it into your hair

and switching out once again to wash it out of his hair and apply a leave-in conditioner just to make sure that it stays nice, soft, and healthy

and you showed him how to do that, and he took it in once again and repeated the care process on your hair

and then came the fun part:

the drying process

you both had used a hair towel that wrapped around your heads to get most of the moisture out, but then you pulled out a hairdryer

“(y/n).”

“kid.”

“is that really necessary?”

“it’s easier to do and takes less time. plus, it’s been proven to be healthier for the hair.”

sigh

“fine then.”

you dried his hair on low heat, slowly using a comb and brushing it through the super slight and rare knots in his raven head

he observed you in the mirror as you did so 

(he loved the sight, but he would rather be sentenced to purgatory than admit that) 

(in the moment, at least) 

if you have straight/not-so-wavy-or-curly hair, then:

you handed the hairdryer to him, and he followed your example to the letter

he really tried to target any of the knots that were in your hair

and it tugged a bit hard a couple times

but that’s what comes with brushing and drying the hair

once the drying was done, you both combed out the remaining knots and proceeded to relax

if you have wavy/curly hair, then: 

he let you walk him through the process of drying and care

(not much here since the process is different for everybody)

but no matter, you both decided to lay back down on the sofa in the living area and watch a random tv show

you had you rhead laid against his lap

he had a hand running through your hair, and the other held your hand that was laid against your chest

“how was that, kid? you enjoy it?”

he hummed

“yes, i did. though i don’t really see myself doing it too often.”

“yeah, right. give me a call when you want to do it again.”

“yes, of course, my dear. now, how about we watch the show?”

rolling your eyes, you turned your head to the television and watched

kid wasn’t paying attention to the show, rather to you

but no matter

it relaxed him, and he frankly couldn’t ask for anymore from a night with you

(when he went home that night, liz and patty noticed his nails and gave him hell for it though)

(he decided then that he could only put up with you doing this for him rather than liz or patty)

(seriously, they teased the everloving hell out of him for caving to the self-care process)

Genre: mostly floof, might be some comedy in here (it’s really mostly floof tho lol), super super s u p e r slight angst 

Pairing: Sebastian Michaelis x GN!Reader

Notes: Okay, so this provided many an idea for me. When i read this a flood hit me, and all I can say is thank you oh so much for the prompt! 

Ideas like this are what keep me going (especially now, to be honest-), so when I see requests like this, I have to go for it. Like, immediately. With that said, though, I feel the need to say that the last time I took in anything about MLP was a long time ago - to say the least... - so I might be a little off about the personality of Fluttershy, but I hope that it’s sufficient for you either way. 

Also, a warning: there is a very brief implication of abduction and drugging. Proceed carefully, if you do proceed.

alright so

this time period is a little bit perfect for a person of this type

b u t

it also means that you are more susceptible to attacks by supernatural forces

since 

well

y’know

super shy, super quiet, super timid

the best target for most supernatural beings as well as creeps, murderers, etc. 

really, it kinda sucks that it ends up that way

but on the bright side, that is how you met sebastian and ciel

you had been separated from your parents

and had been waiting for you caretaker to return

when someone had grabbed you when petting a stray animal beside the entrance you were waiting at 

they had attempted to slam a rag over your mouth, 

and they managed to get the rag over your mouth

but someone had been thrown back before anything further could happen

the rag hit the ground, and a small boy and his butler 

(you assumed) 

came from a shadowed area

and the rest is history! 

you had soon become obligated to work with ciel for funtom company collaborations

(your parents were often busy with meetings, and you were going to take over the company as the heir) 

so you would often see sebastian

he’d carried you back to the phantomhive mansion after the attack

and it was there that you froze up after finally getting a good look at his face

and h o l y s h i t was he attractive 

yeah, you went tense from that point forward lol

flustered 

very obviously so 

you two did bond over something unexpected, though

you and ciel had gone out to look at manufacturing processes for a new experimental collaboration project

and sebastian accompanied, of course

but it was when ciel had gone to talk to the head of the plant

(or rather demanded that they exit the building to talk privately) 

that you had noticed a cat sitting by a box not far from the plant

worried, you walked over and raised your hand to the animal and let it sniff you before you pet it 

and it was adorable

purring came about not long afterwards, and it started to rub itself against your arm and hand

sebastian was made to watch after you while ciel handled what was needed

and seeing that you had disappeared, he went to find you 

and find you he did

the cat had gotten so comfortable with you in that period of time that you were holding the fluffy animal

the both of you looked so tender

and that was what drew sebastian further to you 

on multiple occassions you were very accomodating to guests, and were a very nice guest yourself

super sweet and super gentle, especially to kids

now, listen

this wouldn’t have normally caught sebastian’s attention

but with the way that you had been handling every other situation by this point, this only added to your character

you had already shown your immense compassion and care so seeing that being extended to children- 

he doesn’t normally get interested, but this?

yeah, the demon was extremely taken by you 

now 

he only found all of this out by observation

you never really exchanged any words with him, you only did so to ciel or someone that you were absolutely obligated to 

and even then, you were stuttering and/or mumbling

it was very quiet, you were very quiet, and the way that you approached speaking in general only enforced that

(possibly even to a borderline extreme extent, honestly) 

you first spoke to him when you had an issue in your guest room, though

somehow, someway, a mouse had snuck into your room

you wanted to remove it, but you wanted to do anything but hurt it

you knew that if any of the other servants had found it, chaos would ensue 

and that would mean that ciel would likely order for it to be killed

you wanted that avoided at all costs

so you went to the most reliable servant for help 

“s...s-sebastian...?”

your voice sounded almost...dainty

“yes, dear?”

“could-could you help me...for a second?”

“yes, of course. what is the issue?”

so, you tried to speak

and it didn’t come out 

too many words, too little time, and way too much anxiety to speak them

so you gestured to your room 

(or the stairs, rather) 

“would you...f-follow me, in-instead?”

he remained silent, nodding 

“do lead the way, darling.”

so you did 

it was silent

not awkwardly so, though

you enjoyed that since most people you were surrounded with were very ethusiastic and talkative

you didn’t mind it in crowds, 

(not like you liked those in the first place, though) 

but when in a quiet space, it made things very awkward and tense

you hated that feeling

as well as sebastian

he loathed that tense feeling, he could sense the people in the room absolutely losing any true comfortability by the second

it disgusted him, frankly

but this was different

and when you showed him to your room, the mouse was gently nudging at your pillow

“i saw it running around and...and i don’t w-want it harmed...”

sebastian knew what you were getting at

“i’ll release it, then. my sincerest apologies for this event.”

he bowed

you froze, unsure of a response

“n-..n-no, no, it’s-it’s quite alright! um...”

you gulped

“..i just want to- make sure it is safe. thank you, sebastian.”

and so he did, releasing it into a corner of the garden that had been fenced in

finny was in another area, and you gave the mouse one last pat before it ran free

and that is what sparked this relationship 

he noticed how you always reacted this way, and when the time would call for it, you’d go to him since he was someone that wouldn’t ridicule you for your nature

he always helped you aid the small rodents that wormed their way into buildings, always helped you get any stray animals back to safety

hell, he even did so with kids

you had run into a couple lost kids on multiple occassions, and each time you were sure to bring them to safety and do your damnedest to reach out to their parents 

sebastian always made the process easier, and with time, you learned a few things from him

you began to pick up more on asserting yourself when it came to protecting the animals and/or children that you ran into

it shocked people to see your demeanor change when it came down to it, and the tone of voice you’d use would make them bend

“i’m not requesting, sir, i am demanding that you bring that animal to a shelter before any more harm comes to it.”

yeah, that?

that made sebastian proud. 

he’d been the one to help you reach this point

you had often come to him to vent

(in your faint voice, of course) 

about how no one would listen to you, and how you were ashamed that you weren’t more talkative and outgoing

sebastian had made it his mission to help you when these times would come

he began by letting you voice what you actually wanted to say

“perchance, would you m-...mind if i did so? it doesn’t seem improper to you?”

“of course not, darling. i don’t mind.”

“...alright then.”

and then it came out.

the anger, the pain, the worry - all of it

and he let you go crazy.

your parents wouldn’t, family members wouldn’t, little to no one would

after all, you were the nice, sweet, and gentle child of the (l/n) family. 

no one would expect anything less from you 

but they definitely didn’t expect anything more intense

and even then, it took a while to get others to accept the fact that you are more than your demeanor

it sucked that it took as long as it did, but it did bring you and sebastian closer

(if we wanted to stay on the bright side, at least) 

either way, a huge amount of progress was made

and he eventually came to develop a relationship with you 

ciel was asked to provide advisory over the idea

and, surprisingly, he allowed it 

(it was mostly due to the fact that he could get a break from sebastian’s lectures, but hey-)

and now, you had another thing to leave you flustered

he truly loved your demeanor and your personality, the way you advocated for others without hesitation

really, he loved you for that

but he also loved to tease the everloving crap out of you 

seriously, when you two would have a break from business, you both would relax in the library 

books in hand, reading being done

until sebastian would look at you, leaned up against him and eyes focused

“my, darling, you look beautiful.”

and you are no longer existing, you have evaporated

(wishing sebastian good luck when it comes to dating a nonexistent being)

but luckily for him, you always return

and he never gets enough of teasing you 

you’re cute, he can’t help it 

(he won’t do it in public, though)

(he may be sadistic, he may be cruel, but even he knows where to draw the line)

overall, though

he would be a great influence to someone like that, simply due to his attraction to you 

due to that, he wants to help you bring out the best in yourself in a more forward and clear fashion

(and he wants to spite the idiots that decided it was a good idea to ridicule you just because you had a more pacifistic approach to life)
