Remember when Tyrus was a crack ship, like we’ve come so far
Josh really out here tryna tease me 👊😔😳
If you're a mutual who doesn't watch andi mack, and wish I'd shut up about it. To bad. Im emotional and gay.
Ive been watching Andi Mack since April 7th, 2017. Because apparently that's when the first episode aired. I remember seeing commercials for it on tv and no joke, my thought was "oh god this looks so cringy but at least I can hate watch it"
Oh if 13 year old me could see me now. Crying once again over a kids show (hahagirlmeetsworldandgravityfallswillalwaysbethefirst)
No joke, I was 13 when the first episode aired (I did the math.) Im 16 now. I've been watching this show from ages 13-16. God damn. I never stick with things as much as I've stuck with this show.
I actually watched the first episode with my mom. I remember this conversation so clearly because, well, you know when in movies characters foreshadow future events? Yeah we did a that thing. No joke, I still remember close to every word of this conversation.
My mom: the silas (yes, this is what she still calls him to this day) character is totally gay
Me: thats either generalizing or mean, and this is disney
My mom: no, he's gay. They may never say it on here but he is.
Me: well i dunno maybe you just think that cause maybe the actor is and it just leaks thr- (at this point I had no clue who the actor was fyi, this was just me having a conversation.)
My mom: no. No. its the character.
Me: but it's disney. This is a kids show.
My mom: aw, I dunno, times are a changin'
-and wouldn't you know it, somehow she was right.-
Back on track. Yeah, after the first episode we set it to tape on the dvr.
And I've been watching ever since.
I remember watching cyrus come out for the first time to buffy. It was right around the time my world irl was starting to crash and burn around me. Serious. This was probably the darkest few months of my life. And hearing buffys lil talk to cyrus, fuck I'm not one to let shows affect me but I needed to hear that so badly at the time.
And it's kinda been like an old friend ever since. We sit, chat for around 2 hours and make on our merry way until next week.
I thought I would feel sad when it ended. But. I don't. It feels kinda...right. It feels like seeing a friend go off to college. (*cough* or to an arts school *cough*)
Yeah, I'll miss it. But it was time to move on. Do I wanna see what would have happened with the characters? Fuck yeah.
But I like this ending. It feels complete in a way I can't really describe because for all intent and purpose it's...not. But I like it. Andi's moving on to bigger things. Buffy and Cyrus get to have their happy endings. Jonah and Andi didn't get together. Which without context sounds like a bad thing but its better that way and we all know it.
TJ has someone he can talk to and confide in, and he knows that person shouldn't be someone who makes him choose between people. Amber isn't with someone who can't be there for her. Bowie and Bex got their dance and their day. Cece let loose. I like this ending. It feels right to me.
