Brittany's corn allergy might be the one thing that gets between her and Jaden's love. I can't imagine her keeping a Midwestern man happy if she doesn't give him plenty of corn-based side dishes.
Jaden is pursuing John Doyle now because he knows that Patrick will never love him back, but he's also still too ashamed to go after Brittany because he doesn't want to lose his racist credibility.
Performing tonight at our football game was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Monday one of our band members died, Braden Rock. We all miss him but we decided that we had to perform the show, for him. He would have been so mad if we just skipped the football game, this was his passion. Well our band director gave this speech at the beginning of our performance and you can’t see it here, but every single one of us was sitting (or standing) there sobbing as he spoke. You can’t hear it but the “With Pride” was cracked and filled with just crying. Our director was holding back tears as he spoke. If you look closely you can see some of the guard members almost shaking once they’re down. They're sobbing. I know I was. Even though this was so hard, we managed to finish the show and it was amazing. Considering that we just finished the show two days ago, it’s pretty damn amazing. Third football game, tomorrow is our first competition. I was too proud of us to not share this somewhere where hopefully someone would see us. I love my marching family and we’ve never been closer than we were tonight. After we performed we all stood in a huddle, hugging each other and listening to our band director speak between his own crying. Braden’s father even came and spoke to us and let me just say, I watched people cry who I NEVER would have thought that they could show so much emotion. Anyway this is our show.
My school lost a beautiful person today. You will be missed Braden but never forgotten!
