Me: Haha people love Ivor so much. so silly :)) he is just an old man
Also me, @ two very old men: hnhnfddf,h, ,ngh,, ,brenner an d mahlon <3 <3 <3
Cecil could have his own harem anime with the amount of anons hitting on him. I'm gonna go do that right now btw.
I never even responded to every ask where he was hit on either. I still have a full log of unanswered flirts at @concubine-mamas that have never reached the light of day
He’d be so horrible as the center of a harem anime though lol like even worse then most of the dense protagonists cause he’d try to avoid that stuff. He’d just legit die episode one
HEADCANON #035: LETTERS
Cecil writes letters ‘home’. He started doing this about a year after he left British-India. It was a good way to keep track of his life as well as clear his thoughts, since his life was way more hectic what’s with the traveling he did. Of course ‘home’ is only a fictive receiver ; his home was destroyed, and even if it hadn’t been and his parents were still alive, he would never think to write to them.
In these letters, he mostly writes about things he has done, people he knows or met, feelings and thoughts he is afraid to express elsewhere. He used to tell about his adventures, about travelling around and how he got by with what little he had. While Cecil is well aware he never intended on sending these letters, he still writes them as if they are addressed to his parents. He writes them formally, uses his best handwriting and, even though he knows he doesn’t have to, sometimes still leaves out significant things that happened to him in fear of being judged. He knows his parents would disapprove of some of the things he does, so he leaves them out to avoid their judgement. Even though they’ll never actually receive or read the letters he writes them...
He continued this habit when arriving at the Order, even though his life calmed down considerably. Now, instead of adventures, he writes about missions and the Innocence ( among other things ). Over time, he started to feel bad for writing them, feeling guilty for keeping ties with his ‘old life’, but he never stopped writing. While he does feel bad for writing letters, in the long run, writing them has a more positive than negative effect on him. Cecil decided quite some time ago that he didn’t care if writing home and feeling good about doing it made him a bad person, even though in reality he does actually low-key beat himself up about it. It really doesn’t help the already bad image he has of himself, but ... Oh well.
Cecil keeps these letters, all put in envelopes with the address and even a stamp on it, in a box in his drawer. Since he writes letters almost biweekly, he thinks it would be useless to hide the box, since he’d have to get it out so often anyway. If someone were to find and open the box, though, he would immediately take it from them and lie about their content.
RIP Cecil we miss you bro!!!
