You know that touching scene where Howard Stark films himself to offer an important message to Tony in the 70s

And Tony watches it it and finally comes to terms that his dad does love him even with their often bumpy relationship?

I can see a similar case with Doc Hudson

Realizing that he may not have enough time to teach Lightning all the racing tricks ( and facets of life ), Doc Hudson filmed himself to teach those tricks ( all the while Doc was silently battling car cancer or smth )

Lightning only found out those DVD tapes when he, Mater and Sally are clearing out Doc's old garage after he died

They saw those tapes

And then Lightning SOBBED when he first saw the video tapes

Till this day Lightning watches those teaching videos sometimes

At rhe back of the DVD case, Doc even left behind a note that says, ' If you want to release those tapes to the public, you have my blessing, kid. '

So Lightning, Mater and Sally released them

And then Doc's racer training videos became a SENSATION on the website.
