This is gonna be oddly specific so if you don’t wanna I understand! A scenario where Karamatsu realizes his feelings but is too nervous to tell his crush! He goes to Decapan who gives him a potion to help him talk to her and it turns him into his crushes best friend who just so happens to be Totoko! It only lasts for an hour though! What would happen in that hour? And what if it ended with Karamatsu accidentally confessing as Totoko!!
Hope you don’t mind that I changed the ending a bit! I thought him being able to get away with it could lead to some funnier events later on ;) -Mod Kota
He’d started to notice the little signs about a week ago: sweaty palms, increased heartrate, butterflies in his stomach- And he’d tried to brush them off, tried to convince himself that maybe he was just sick, or had something else on his mind. But finally, Karamatsu had to admit it to himself.
He liked you, he liked you an awful lot.
But how on Earth could he tell you? You were amazing. The way you smiled when you saw something you loved, all the little habits you had that you weren’t aware of, and the fact that you were always so nice to him, even if he didn’t really deserve it… He felt that you were way out of his league. And there was no possible way you could like him back, right? No, unless he got some sort of assistance, there was no way he would ever be able to work up the courage to tell you his true feelings. With this in mind, he decided to pay a visit to Doctor Dekapan.
Karamatsu explained his problem, and asked for something, anything, that would help him overcome his nervousness. And while the good doctor didn’t have an immediate and perfect solution, he did, in fact, have something that could help. A special little potion, that allowed the user to turn into the object of their affection’s best friend for one hour. Karamatsu thanked the doctor profusely then went on his way, nervousness already building in the pit of his stomach. He was fairly certain that Totoko was your best friend, which, at the very least, meant that he could likely play the part. All he had to do was remain calm… yes, you would never suspect a thing. Girls talked to each other about boys all the time, right? Nothing to worry about.
It wasn’t too difficult to figure out where you were, as you usually liked to spend time in the park close to your house. A quick walk around revealed you relaxing underneath a shady tree, eyes slowly drifting shut as sleep threatened to overtake you. Karamatsu hid himself quickly, scared for a moment that you had seen him, then breathed a sigh of relief when he was certain that he hadn’t been spotted. He then took a deep breath and downed the potion he had been holding, tossing the empty bottle aside when he was done. The effect was immediate, and he disappeared in a cloud of light pink smoke. When the smoke cleared, he looked down to see that he was most certainly no longer himself. His hands were smaller and more delicate. And his chest- Well, he probably shouldn’t focus too much on that, save the fact that it was certainly heavier than he had thought it would be.
Karamatsu took another deep breath to steady himself. Alright, he could do this. Just act like Totoko would, get a little information out of you, then leave before the effects wore off. He nodded his head once more in reassurance and stepped out from behind the tree he had taken refuge behind. “Y/n-chaaaan! Hiya!” His own voice nearly surprised him as he ran towards you, but thankfully he didn’t falter. You, on the other hand, were startled from your near-sleep state and looked up in confusion as (who appeared to be) Totoko ran up to you.
“Ah, Totoko-chan, hi!” you finally replied, smile forming on your mouth once the cobwebs of sleep disappeared from your mind. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”
Karamatsu nearly melted when he saw your smile but managed to keep his composure. “Me either! Coincidences are interesting, huh?” Oh god, he hoped he was doing an ok job at being Totoko. “Mind if I sit next to you?”
“Go for it,” you replied, gesturing to the ground. “There’s plenty of room.”
Karamatsu plopped down and instinctively reached up to adjust his sunglasses… only to be reminded that they weren’t there. Thinking fast he moved his hand up to brush away a stray strand of hair instead. After the slightly awkward motion he cleared his throat and decided to get right down to business. He didn’t have very long, after all. “Hey, y/n-chan, I was woooondering, do you have a boy you like?” He smiled in what he hoped was an innocent, curious manner.
Your eyebrow quirked up. “Well that came out of left-field. Why do you wanna know?”
He couldn’t exactly tell you that he was dying to know if you felt the same, so he had to improvise. “Just curious! Besides, can’t two friends talk about boys and other normal girl stuff from time to time?”
“Normal girl stuff, huh?” you laughed. “I guess that’s fair. But humor me first. Do you have a crush on anyone?”
“Oh uh-“ What could he possibly say? Most girls had a crush on someone right? Maybe? But he didn’t even know that many people, and if he stalled you were going to get suspicious so- “Well… I guess Osomatsu isn’t too bad?” He was going to pay for this later, he knew it.
You couldn’t contain your laughter and slapped a hand over your mouth to keep yourself from being too loud. “Osomatsu, really? I mean I guess I won’t judge, I can’t judge at this point, but REALLY?”
“Hey, he’s not so bad once you get to know him!” But Karamatsu’s heart had started racing at your phrasing. “And um, what do you mean that you ‘can’t judge,’ y/n-chan?”
“Ah well…” you fidgeted slightly and looked at your hands. “I might, kind of have a thing for Karamatsu? I dunno, he’s just really nice and-“
A loud, nearly screeching “YES!” pierced through the air before you could finish your sentence, leaving you shell-shocked and wide-eyed. Karamatsu was on his feet again, fist pumping, a wide smile on his face. Though of course, you only saw your best friend acting strangely happy at this news.
“Why are- why are you so excited, Totoko-chan?”
“OH UH,” Karamatsu quickly reigned himself in. “I just uhhhh… won a bet, that’s all!” Oh he was so glad, this was the BEST day of his life. “Yeah, a bet! I bet with… Chibita, that you had a crush on Karamatsu! I’m gonna go run and get my money from him now, so I’ll see you later!” And then he was running, running even faster than the time when he had replaced all of Ichimatsu’s wardrobe with his “perfect fashion” in order to make his younger brother feel cooler. In any case, he was determined to go and buy you a bouquet of your favorite flowers and confess as soon as he turned back into his normal self.
You, on the other hand, were left alone and confused, but not entirely surprised.

Bonus:
“Yahoo! Y/n-chan just told me that Totoko-chan has a crush on me! I’m gonna go tell her I accept right now!” Osomatsu threw his coat on and ran out the door, face beaming with his signature grin.
Karamatsu knew that if he wanted to live, nobody could ever know what he had done.
I watched the special. J e s u s f u c k i n g c h r i s t. Not exactly what I expected, the scene with Oso made me put my hands over my mouth in shock.
Yes, that’s exactly how I reacted! I honestly had to do a double-take in blushing shock about 5 times to make sure I was actually seeing right
I don’t even want to know how he got himself in that situation…
karamatsu generally wasn’t a mad guy. he wasn’t one for fighting. sure, he was strong- but he’d never think of laying a hand on anyone, especially not one of his brothers.
but this was too far. he didn’t understand a lot of people. most of the time, he was in his own world, and he shut out what other people thought. his empathy level was incredibly low. so when osomatsu acted out and kicked jyushimatsu over a piece of sushi, he was especially shocked. he always saw osomatsu as a happy type of guy. he’d seen him mad before, but not this kind of mad. he’d seen him act out like this when he was irritated, but this was different.
the air of the room was hostile. and on choro’s big day? this wasn’t acceptable. he wanted the best for choro. he was self-absorbed and oblivious, but he knew how to act on big days like this, at celebrations. this was an especially big day. choro’s getting a job and leaving the house was something very, very important. not just for choro, but for everybody else in the house, too.
after the ordeal with osomatsu and jyushimatsu, he did what he felt was the only option to keep the peace. he punched osomatsu and brought him outside by the collar of his shirt, slamming the door behind him. maybe it wasn’t exactly keeping the peace, but he it was the only thing he could think to do.
“ osomatsu, what the fuck?! why do you think you can just go and ruin choromatsu’s big day!?! it’s not all about you, idiot!!! “
