The sound that Talon made was - quite simply put - not terribly dignified. It was hardly as if he had imagined the stranger would be so bold as to simply pick him up and throw him over his shoulder as if he were a sack of vegetables. Panic welled deep inside of him, loud in his ears as his heart raced. He stared wide-eyed at the ground, feeling much too helpless, his breaths catching in his chest as he struggled to breathe. 

“Kindly let me down, sir,” he barely managed to squeeze out between gasps.

When I was in like 6th, maybe 7th, grade Ash and I did everything together. I was at her house all the time and she had the coolest mom ever. Her mom's bf, Ahmed, proposed to her when they were at work in a bar. Yeah, they're bartenders. Ahmed was hot. Anyway I'm so far off topic. Ash and I were absolute best friends.

The first time I went to her house I just about slept with eyes wide open because of her dog. [Rest In Peace, you sweet angel.]  So Ash invited me to her birthday party and while the others were still on their way, we decided to play the wii. Talon wasn't used to me or the wii yet. Ash went down the stairs to her room before me and "forgot" that I was supposed to go first. So I start walking down the stairs and Talon ran down in front of me. I was like "Okay that's okay. I can handle  little competitveness from a dog." Then I hit that last step and Talon turns around and starts barking in my face and I screamed lol. Ash ran to my rescue and i just...couldn't.

Finally, we get to the wii and started playing the bowling and volleyball games and Talyn was at it again. She thought I was trying to attack my best friend. She never took her attention away from me and my actions toward Ash after that. After we all went to sleep, I swore it'd be okay, that I was being paranoid. But when I woke up the next morning, Talon was staring at me. Her shadow was haunting me so I woke Ash up, deciding to get her to show me where the bathroom was. That was my cover. That sweet, rescued dog is the reason why I like dogs so much. Sadly, she had to get put down last year. Ash is pretty alone now. One of her cats went missing and apparently died, her only dog, died, and I'm pretty sure her other cat died. I can't imagine what it's like when she goes home for breaks from the college life.
