as the sun began to sneak into the horizon, casting a glow rosy as the faces of children who ran by, sugar-filled and eager for action, blaise found herself in a joyous mood –– a rarity. the blonde slinked through clouds of people, lips powdered with sweetness as she grinned, figure floating between crowds as it frolicked to an overarching melody while her viridian orbs scanned faces to find the one she had lost. originally, it had been her plan to remain close to miles throughout the day, as they had promised to enjoy this fair together. at first, that was exactly what she wanted: the two of them grappling over who could win a prize at the trickiest booth, racing to see which one of them could inhale their deep-fried kool-aid the fastest, or eventually cozying into a silent ride of the ferris wheel, the pair of friends exhausted with the day’s activities. however, something got in the way; or rather, someone. any guilt she could muster for leaving a childhood companion behind evaporated by the time blaise pranced to meet him again, visage flustered with excitement and splendor as blonde curls floated between them, carried by the fragrant wind. “heya, millie bear,” the vixen hummed, flashing him a pearly grin as her body nearly collided into his, brought on by either a bout of energy or the desire to make up for lost time. “look here!” she exclaimed with a wrinkle of her nose, pointing to a spot on her shoulder as she angled her form towards his. “i got a henna tattoo. it’s kinda dumb because i could have easily gotten a real one but... i like it! it’s a day to try new things,” the blonde concluded, straightening out and peeling her gaze away from his and onto the crowd. part of her felt exposed for acting so joyous in front of strangers, considering it was in her genes to be reticent and brooding –– yet, after the day she had, blaise concluded she had every right to show off her contentedness without regard to what, or who, she could be upsetting.
