Very sad to hear that "Mean" Gene Okerlund passed away at age 76. I grew up watching this man on t.v and had the pleasure of meeting him back in 2017. Legendary wrestling announcer, "Mean Gene" Okerlund, has died today at age 76. I've been a wrestling fan for the past 35 years now and he was one of the voices of my 1980s childhood. Who could forget his countless, highly entertaining backstage interviews with all the wrestling legends of the classic, golden era of wrestling. He remained active in the wrestling business right up until 2018. #RIPGeneOkerlund We lost one of the best interviewer, announcer and commentator in wrestling. You give us a lots of laughs and good memories though all of the years when your interviewing the best wrestler's before their matches, when your singing "Tutti Frutti," and you got into the WWE Hall of Frame and my thoughts and prayers goes to his family, his friends and his fans we will miss you "Mean" Gene Okerlund and we will see you again.
