We officially lost Mars Rover Opportunity (or Oppy) today so many people are sending her postcards. This makes me incredibly sad but has also restored my faith in humanity a bit.

RIP Opportunity

My space robot baby Oppy is gone. She sparked my interest in science, even though I’m not in the aerospace field, I will forever be grateful to Oppy for inspiring me to explore the world around me. Oppy has gone and in her memory we should keep the spirit of discovery and exploration alive. Thank you Oppy, sleep well.
