My heart is broken. My good friend, mentor, editor and co-founder of Nippertown, Greg Haymes, passed away yesterday from lung cancer. He was such a great guy who was an inspiration for me and so many other photographers, musicians, bloggers, artists, and journalists in the Capital Region and the Berkshires. I admired his drive for creating and for taking the time he did to share daily previews, reviews, and things to see in our local community while giving artists an opportunity to be expressive, share, and report about the moments they were present at for in the entertainment scene. Thank you Greg and his partner, Sara Ayers, for the creation of Nippertown, for your continued friendship and support for everybody, and for allowing us to share our stories about the great happenings that were occurring in our lively arts & music scene for the past 9 years and beyond!! I am thankful and fortunate to have met you my friend!! Rest In Peace Greg Haymes. Rest In Peace Sarge. You will be greatly missed by us all.
