So a while back me and a group of friends started discussing a Mikey raised by Draxum au that we call Solstice AU. There’s some awesome stuff on the shared blog @rottmnt-solstice-au
For those who don’t know, which is probably a lot of you XD, Sol is what Mikey is called here and that’s all you really need to know to enjoy this snippet I wrote!
For the last few days, Sol had been sat in the entrance under the careful watch of the ratman his brothers called ‘Dad’, which was stupid. The only people who had the rights to this ‘esteemed title’ were their DNA donor and Draxum. Draxum was their creator, the one who wanted them, so he was the one that deserved the title. Lou Jitsu was dead. Dead and gone, leaving Sol and his brothers as the only perfect warriors Draxum would ever create. This rat was nothing more than a thief, a turtlenapper and Sol would make his brothers see this truth and bring them home. His brothers didn’t have to live on the surface, they could come home and Draxum would welcome them back. No longer would the rat hide them, keep the wonders of their culture from them.
“Orange?”
Sol ignored the rat’s attempt to hand him fruit and kept up his vigil.
“More for me then.”
It was then that three figures became visible in the doorway.
Sol grinned, rocking himself back and forth, “Welcome back! You beat some heads?”
Red beamed at Sol, making the smaller turtle squint against its brightness, “You know it, big man!”
Clearly, Sol’s training had paid off.
“Hello boys,” the rat smiled at them, lifting a plate, “Would you like some?”
“Orange slices?” Raph blinked and beamed once more, “Thanks Pops!”
In the background, Blue gagged and Donnie pushed him off gently. It was strange. Purple never hesitated to push Blue off with force before.
Oh, Sol noted upon further observation, Blue was bleeding.
“Ratman,” Sol grinned, eyes partially closed as the rat turned to him, “What is this strange treat you have procured?”
Judging from how Leo walked off, he got the hint. Don’t let anyone see. Get it patched up.
Sol may not know this rat, but he knows himself and by extension, his brothers. They share the same blood and that makes them family and family covers for each other, just like in Sol’s favourite shows.
Don’t let him know your weakness, know that you messed up. Make him proud.
Sol understood the sentiment.
