The Hunter and myla

hamster. anyways i like the hunter, but i never thought too hard on him. (common theme around here, liking chars and not getting quite invested in them i know...) going to make this one brief

they would both ultimately find each other weird, but given myla’s tendencies, i’m sure they could be friends. myla’s unperturbed by death; those warning teeth towering tall? “h-how neat!” and she’d always carry right along. both of them haven’t necessarily met anyone. maybe. and for now, we’ll play on the hypothetical that myla does leave her post of mining to play as a wanderer. a break from hauling and processing all those crystals. (a hunter? well she’s a hunter of her own, you see! a hunter for, uhm. crystals! riches.)

the hunter never seemed much for company; he’s a hunter that worked alone, after all. by chance, he may open up to consider working alongside another - if only to see how much different it would be in the means of prey. myla is quite the singer, and the hunter’s camouflage is large enough to not only store a bunch of crystals myla’s somehow dragged with her just to keep her busy, but to store... her! herself! hide in a bit of it yet sing enough to attract the curious, for sound is always something useful.

(he is much too large to fit into crystal peak properly, but how else is he made aware of the other creatures?) realistically, he wants to leave, venture to seek and stalk different others. in any case... it’s fun, that visual. the much taller him entertaining the smaller her with stories, recollections of these beasts. and she’ll bubble out a laugh, swing her claw-pick. remark that she would be able to take them! how long has she mined for anyways? her strength isn’t poor at all; she’s alive, too. and he’ll grunt, suppose it true.

...they would also make certainly morbid songs though, and the hunter’s voice is... unique.

Couldn’t they just like, make the mosquitoes not carry diseases? Or make cures to said diseases?

It’d be way easier then disrupting the food chain.

YOU’D THINK THAT CONCENTRATING ON “maybe we should try making these insects inhospitable to diseases they commonly carry“ or “maybe we should try to make people immune or vaccinated against them” WOULD BE A BETTER USE OF TIME THAN TRYING TO FIND A DELETE BUTTON FOR BUGS, YEAH
