Elle had been running from a group of walkers when the cliff caught her. She’d been watching her back as she ran and suddenly there was nothing left to run on and she was rolling down a sharp incline, her body hitting the rocks as she went. She couldn’t hold in some of her screams and once she hit the ground she wasn’t sure how long she laid there. The only reason she tried to move was because she heard something coming. Still she hurt everywhere and Elle could do nothing but drag herself along the ground in an attempt to get away.

It had only been her first day in town and she had already gotten herself into more trouble than she had been in since the apocalypse had started. She just needed to find more ammo and fast.
Emma was tired. She felt like it had taken her forever to reach New York, when in fact it had only taken her a few months. She was exhausted, and all she wanted was a good rest. It had been so long since she had the luxury of a deep peaceful sleep. She was constantly watching her back, afraid of what might happen if she let her guard down for one minute. She was tired of walking and just wanted to sit down and rest, but she knew now wasn’t the time or the place. She trudged on a while longer, until she was sure she was hearing footsteps behind her. She quietly turned around, hands on her weapon. “Hello?”
