001. back when they were together, tramp and rita were terrible influences on each other, however when rita met fagin mike was extremely sketched out by the whole thing. essentially, it seemed like fagin was asking her to do what mike does himself only on a larger and more organized scale, however he warned her about the potential dangers of getting involved since he knew firsthand what that line of work was like. she brushed off his warnings, and that was the cause of their break-up.
002. the break-up was on mutual terms, and there are no remaining feelings beyond on-off friendship. however, tramp will still stand by the notion that he was right all those years ago.
003. rita and tramp can often find themselves throwing verbal digs at each other when they see each other, but truly they look out for each other and have an unspoken alliance.
004. still to this day, he texts her things like “everything ok with you and fagin and the boys?” to make sure they aren’t taking advantage of her or pushing her too hard in her line of work. he’ll always be concerned about her even though they aren’t as close anymore.

BUZZ DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO CONSIDER IT there was literally no other way for this to go, still, he hesitated, “kill the pizza planet mascot. kill it dead. so dead. six feet under and on fire dead. and, well, marry rita, because she’s a great friend and i definitely feel like we could make it work, she could do whatever she wanted and i could do whatever i wanted and our taxes would look great. and, well, that leaves one other option right ?”
