@river-muses || fangs fogarty || fall apart in my arms
His heart sank when there was only silence on the other line. That wasn’t normal, for there to be this radio silence when Fangs called him. There was a soft sniffle heard and that just made all of this much worse. “ Fangs...? ” He whispered into the receiver, the tone in his voice soft and caring with a mixture of sadness and he had no idea what was going to be said--if anything. Joaquin quickly moved his phone away from his ear to check the time. The darkened screen popped up the time in bright white numbers at the top. 2:37 AM. Shit. He had grown used to late night rendezvous with his best friend, but usually, they started off with some whiny voice Fang would draw out which was an easy way to get the young Hispanic to walk over to the Fogarty Trailer and stay the rest of the night. However, there was no complaining, no questions of what he could possibly doing at 2 in the morning like usual.
He shouldn’t be waiting for the other to speak up on the phone. It wasn’t going to end well, and even if he did start talking, the chance that he was crying right now and would be attempting to talk would have been a mess. “ Just give me a second, Fangs. ” That was all he needed to say as he got up from his bed in the small trailer he lived in. It was some Serpent's trailer that got hauled off to jail years ago that FP thought was best for Joaquin to stay in after his parents were taken away so Joaquin wouldn’t have to go through the system and be stuck somewhere else miserable without his best friends--his family.
Joaquin quickly grabbed his leather jacket. He set his phone down, turning it to speakerphone just in case Fogarty did speak up. He shoved his arms through and picked the phone back up and walked to the door slipping on his grey and black Vans before walking out not even bothering to lock the door behind him. This was obviously important--worrying.
Joaquin jogged over to the Fogarty Trailer opening the door with his spare key and quietly walked back to where to Fang’s small room in the back. Seeing the other made his heart almost stop and breathing cease to exhale out of his chest. Fangs had been crying.
“ God...Fangs... ” Words couldn’t even leave him now as he just looked at the other before him. Finger switched to hang up the phone. It was tossed to the side on a pile of clothes. Walking over he immediately grabbed Fangs and pulled him into a hug. It was the best thing he could do right now until Fangs decided to say something to him. But the silence was okay as well, he could just be there for him and comfort him like this all night until there was some emergence of stillness.
