Local game stores are a good place to start. I found my group from the Discord my game store has (also no one on there knows how to use Discord)

But take my advice, you won’t find the best group immediately. Finding a D&D group is like dating. It’ll take a while to gel with the group and that’s okay! It took nearly 5 months for our group to finally feel right and comfortable. (Mainly cuz we had 3 problem players but that’s besides the point)

But just get out there and have fun! Play whatever and whoever you want! Others can’t tell you what to do! Unless they ask you to play a cleric. Please, we need a cleric.

I am FASCINATED by what the Money Sword is.

OKAY. SO.

The “money sword” in my DND campaign is a home brew item called Blood Money. It’s a +1 sword that requires attunement. It can turn into any length sword upon attunement.

When you hit a creature with the sword, the damage dealt is converted into silver which is stored in a pouch at the hilt of the sword. (e.g.dealing 5 damage means 5 silver)

Also, once a day you can use an action to remove all the silver (minimum of 5) to gain advantage on a Charisma check, Charisma save or an attack.

Oh and while attuned, you feel a slight sense of greed and temptation to acquire more wealth.

Cool DND game idea based on a session I just had.

Run through a normal game of DND but either 1 person or all except 1 person has lost their memories. Now the rememberers have to try and get the forgetters memories back through some dungeon or quest or something like that.

(Bonus points if the forgetter has a way of keeping notes like a journal cuz journals don’t forget and then you get to read this shit through a different lens.)

Loving the fact that me calling out terrible people in a group and them trying to clap back is now forever going to be known as the “Tumblr Incident.” Good news, we will be making new models for said NPCs.

Better news… WE DON’T NEED THE OLD MODELS!

They were alright, but they didn’t fit the characters. Ron was holding a box and didn’t have his hat, meanwhile Werven had short… GINGER hair. THAT FUCKER HAS RED HAIR. LIKE… RED. AND ITS LONG.

And before you ask. No, I’m not going to harass these people anymore. I’m gonna be the bigger person and just block and ignore. Worse comes to worse, I block and ignore instead of going “oh woe is me, a teenager found out that I was a piece of shit and now I have consequences!”

But hell yeah Tumblr incident.
