@river-muses liked for a starter from Michael Guerin.
“Look, I’m sorry for whatever happened before and I’m sorry for bumping into you,” Michael stated. Last thing that he wanted was to end up in the principles office and his foster parents using that as an excuse to do god only know’s what later. “I’m a bit lost and the shitty weather here really isn’t helping anything.” He already missed Roswell and the warmth that the desert offered but here he was on the other side of the country because that’s where his foster parents had moved and he didn’t want to know all the details but here he was wishing he could go back and be closer to Max and Isobel. He also wanted to be close to Alex but that was something he wasn’t sure he wanted think about right now. “Could you tell me where AP Chemistry is?”

“I didn’t realize I was, I’m sorry.” Gordie said, looking back down at the books he’d gotten out in order to do some research on parallel universes and things like that.

The only reason Michael was standing there at the diner was because he didn’t want to go home. Seeing almost all the tables were claimed he moved to one of the only empty ones and sat down, taking his black cowboy hat off and placing it next to him. He was out of place and it showed, everyone here and all the kids at school dressed like...well like they did and he had on what would be considered normal where he was from. It was awkward. Looking up he sighed and then looked around. “Is this you’re table? Sorry thought it was empty,” he muttered as he moved to stand and try one of the seats at the counter. Right now he really missed the Crashdown Cafe.

“S-sorry,” he said as he watched Kevin. Last thing Michael wanted was to do was hurt Kevin or make him uncomfortable. Pulling back he looked at him and tilted his head as he watched him. “I...uh I should go, before...well I should just go.” He was nervous and it was clear in his voice but if he was being honest he was scared of Kevin’s father for more than one reason and he didn’t need his other hand being damaged.

“Having a drink, want one? I stole it from my house,” he shrugged. Alex knew he was underage but he didn’t care, not right now, not after his father had moved him across the country and he wasn’t buying that it was because he’d been temporarily reassigned to Riverdale. It was all a bit too convenient in Alex’s opinion but he wasn’t going to tell people he barely knew that. So he was going to have a bit of fun, let his father worry or whatever it was that the man did.
