“Persephone and Hades”
Finally, my last batch of my Greek Gods and Goddesses project. It’s taken awhile, but it’s finally complete! Of course, I saved the best for last. Here’s a little about them:
Persephone - Goddess of the underworld, springtime, flowers and vegetation. Symbols: Pomegranate, Seeds of Grain, Torch, Flowers and Deer.
Hades - God of the Dead, of the Underworld, the Subterranean Regions, Death, Darkness, The Earth, Fertility, Riches, Mortality, Afterlife and Metals. Symbols: Cerberus, cornucopia, sceptre, Cypress, Narcissus, Keys, Serpents.
I love Hades and Persephone’s story. Hades is honestly one of the best Gods cause he doesn’t cause drama and Persephone is so sweet and is even feared by Zeus! (Not to mention she’s queen of the underworld.)
I pictured Persephone as a red head for as long as I’ve known about her. Along with having bright eyes and a happy-go-lucky aura about her. I put her surrounded by a forest that is right outside of the cave entrance to the underworld; which I’ve added Cerberus’ eyes watching her as her protector. For Hades, I pictured him looking a lot of different ways. But I decided long hair suited him and have him tiny slanted eyes, making him look intimidating, cause you have to as king of the underworld. Lol Cerberus is at the entrance. It’s said he as a snake head as a tail so I added that too. And lastly I added the river of souls.
I’m so happy with how they came out and so happy I completed this project! Hope you enjoy!!
