The Mighty 'Brahmaputra' as i saw.......
When I see a river side village,
And I think how life goes on
Everything revolving around a river,
They have a different story to tell.
Seeing children shouting and running
Not a worry what a river does,
Only makes me realize their innocence.
Seeing a lonely boatman-Rowing his boat
Makes feel me romantic and elated,
Only trying to see the good part of the river
Giving bread to one and all.
About the day's catch he made,
That his wife and children are longing
Maybe the rain or the wind, thats ill omen.
He thinks of the coming floods
He's bit scared about his newborn baby,
But he's a staunch believer-Life goes on....
Going back to the village
I perceive that's how's life.
Seeing cattle grazing by the river
And thinking they have none to care,
Me surprised, but they did
I saw a mother tell her calf,
Child the river is swelling...
Tomorrow there will be no grass left here
And you ought to learn swimming
To try and find a higher land,
Child this is what is nature's fury.
Looking at the changing colours of the water,
They're worried there'll be no place to ran and play
They thought it's all nature's plan.
And seeing a lone cyclist stand by
I thought, what's going on in his mind?
There are only few more weeks to go.....
Then I discard this cycle and-
He thinks-Life is not as easy.....
When I see a river side village.
