The government of Ghana is constructing a railway across #RiverVolta as part of efforts to expand rail transportation across the country The Ghanaian government investedUS$21.5 billion to construct over 4,000 kilometers of railway lines across the county with hopes that the bridge will reduce travel time between Southern and Northern Ghana. Unfortunately, Nigeria's story is different. Tge Nigerian government is spending $2bn in a rail line between Nigeria and Niger. This rail line is of no strategic or economic importance to Nigeria. Worse still, Nigeria is yet to have a rail line that connects all the states of the federation. The worst hit is the subjugated and marginalized Southeast of Nigeria.
