i've completely un-riced my setup. no decorations, 100% window scale, no app launcher, no status bar. i love it so much (this is in @river-official and @kitty-terminal-official, not a tty)

checking out river again. i like the idea of a compositor that accepts window managers to be written on top of it
riverwm is awesome
hey, so I just stumbled across your blog, and I've also just started tinkering with river. I'm wanting to move from Hyprland to River. The only issue is that I haven't been able to find a good starting point for writing my own config.
Do you have any recommendations of complete configs for me to modify?
A bit unsure. I found the following by searching and it looks fine.
River dotfiles. Catppuccin. Contribute to theCode-Breaker/riverwm development by creating an account on GitHub.
Did you use a tilingwm before? Then I would just try to recreate it's config from scratch. The manual for river is nice imo.
My config can be found below bu it is written with nix so is bit weird.

grim and slurp cover 90% of my screenshot cases (area select, monitor, panorama/all monitors, to clipboard or saved to file)
can't figure out selecting a window. all grim needs is the rectangle, so it's just a matter of how to get that info from river -> grim
