Illaria tries to resume her necromancy practice; a certain paladin gets in the way.
This was supposed to be a simple ritual, one that she could perform without adverse effects on her health or drawing the attention of her less permissive peers. The perfect way to resume her necromancy practice.
She’d found a nice clearing not far from the Temple, but far enough that she didn’t need to worry about intrusion. The altar had been set up, the skull sitting carefully atop of it. Its emerald eyes gleamed in the midday sunlight.
All that was left to do was to energise the skull. She didn’t need to worry about a rejected summoning. The skull belonged to a friend of Caoimhe, a necromancer who had chosen to spend his afterlife this way so that he might continue to mentor future generations.
There was just one small problem: the paladin standing in the bushes at the edge of the clearing.
This is a self indulgent submission but what about Artix from Adventure Quest?
