[Amy shakes her head.] Amy: This is different. It-it's Shadow. I- [She huffs, biting her lip as she twists her hands in front of her.] Amy: Listen, I *love* love. I love *being* in love. I have had crushes on almost all of my friends and it's been *more than fine*. We talk about it and like, I've chosen not to do anything about it, or they've said no, but they're them... and this is Shadow. [She puts her head in her hands.] Amy: When Tekno and I dated and broke up, we were still friends. When Blaze and I decided not to date, that didn't change anything. Heck, even when Sonic and I- when we really sat down and talked about it- and I cannot tell you how *hard* it was to get him to sit down and talk about it- we honestly became *better* friends after that! We were comfortable enough to talk about the love we had and work it out and it was fine, no matter how it ended! But it took... it took *ages* for Shadow and I to get to this point in our friendship! Ages and ages and- they trust me so much- I don't want to throw that away by going too fast! I know they're not great with emotions or- or words- or-! [Her hands move to squish her cheeks between them.] Amy: But I wanna do-... *all* the things! I wanna- I wanna go on dates and dress up and make dinner and hold hands and- and I wanna make out at the back of a theater during a bad movie, I want to garden with them, I want to snuggle under a blanket with them, I want to take Rosie out on walks with them and pick out little outfits with them, I am so, so excited but I'm also- I- oh! [Amy scratches her head with both hands, tossing her quills with a growl.] Amy: I just want to get to the end! I want to get to the part where I know they love me back and they're okay with me wrapping them up and never let them go and smother them in kisses but I *know* I can't do that right now without scaring them and aaaAAAAAUGH!
