My unpopular Fate opinion: Riyodako is overrated like mouldy onions and should not be synonymous with Fem Ritsuka/Gudako. God knows how many fans tend to conflate the two like they're the same character and while I do like Carnival Gudako a bit, the fact that there are fans pointing out similarities between the 2 makes me feel sore. I can't take Gudako seriously as an MC if that's the characterisation that most people prefer. Gudao may have been boring, but he isn't a total degenerate.

I do understand that. While I always saw Gudako as more 'chaotic' than her male counterpart given that it seems he chose the more 'safe' lines, Riyodako is...yeah I'd rather her not be Gudako's canon personality.

If anything, I sort of wish that a Fate anime would do that the manga does, switch out Gudako and Gudao during different arcs, so both could have a chance to show their similarities and differences.
