All of this Nez stuff is so frightening. Is there anything we can do? Pass any of this along to the police or anything?

It is absolutely frightening. And many of us have felt helpless for so long, because those in a position to speak out were unable or unwilling to do so. While we as fans and friends unfortunately cannot take legal action, I have created this post as part of a social media campaign to raise awareness about what is happening to Nez. I am hoping that people will reblog it and get the word out, because it truly is silence that allows situations like Nez's to perpetuate, and no one deserves to be abused like that.

Hi there! I was just wondering your take on something, or what the correct answer would be because I'm not sure. I've got one character whose name the reader doesn't learn until the third act, but she has a nickname almost everyone uses. Her best friend knew her before the nickname stuck and so calls her "No Name." I'm just wondering how that might be capitalized in the middle of a sentence; like, "I'm sorry, [No Name, No name, or no name], I just can't do that"?

I thought this was going to be an easy question, but then everything I wrote looked wrong. I’ve never been very good at grammar.

However I have consulted the Oracle, and JK Rowling uses ‘He Who Must Not Be Named.’ Which means you should use “No Name.” It feels right because it’s a place holder for their name, which makes those words collectively into a noun, to represent her.

So your example would be: “I’m sorry, No Name, I just can’t do that!”

I'm sorry, my reply got long! Maybe for the name, something like, "From [early thing] to [later thing]"? Like, say, "From Anne to Zelda"? Something "A to Z," and covering everything in between?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been thinking about keeping it the same name but make it clear that it’s not a blog just about them anymore.
