daniel can’t imagine mina spending so much time at this festival without getting bored. he already texted her and to ask her if she’s ready to go, but she hasn’t gotten back to him yet. truthfully, daniel is ready to go home. his introverted self is starting to feel the tell-tale signs of social exhaustion. he ran into more people that wanted to talk to him than he expected-- but he can’t go home without his sister, so for now, he’s at her mercy. what could she be doing? he soon regrets that question, because his anxiety runs with it. she probably met up with some boy and is hanging out with him. maybe she’s not even at the festival anymore. oh my god, i’m a horrible chaperone.
he’s about to cover the entire festival looking for her, or go find that dj and ask him to make an announcement when he’s distracted by someone giving out flyers. normally, he’d just walk by, but this is someone he knows-- more accurately, someone cameo knows. the crowd of the festival only pushes him toward him, even though daniel would prefer to avoid him, but they make eye contact, and then there’s a flyer for lucky strike in his hands.
it’s smart. here minghao is, using this festival for publicity for his band. where’s daniel’s band? dead in a ditch. (he can only hope it’s temporary.)
it’s too late for him to escape the scene, and to protect himself from any inquiries over his identity as the bassist of empty enigma. he already has his usual lie prepared for when it inevitably comes. daniel’s plenty familiar with lucky strike and all of their members, knowing the local band scene well over the course of the past near-year with his own. empty enigma and lucky strike may be rivals of a sort, but he’d still know minghao anywhere. he suspects it’s mutual.
